delightful ambience and good food in a rural setting

We gathered at Morning Sun winery restaurant for a family birthday lunch.
It was sunny and warm, with gentle breezes. We sat outside with marvelous views of the vineyards and experienced the rural environment of the Mornington Peninsula.
The meal we chose from the menu was titled "let us serve you" and was a series of dishes brought out in 15 minute intervals. They were most delicious and could be best described as an Italian Yum Char (my words). The variety was excellent and food cooked in a typical Italian style.
Wines came from their own winery and were most delicious. We had a bianco blend but the pino grigio looked inviting too.
The table seated 8 and we were comfortably accommodated around it. Conversation was free-flowing and easily heard (as against some restaurants where sound bounces off walls or conversations are absorbed in the clutter of serving the dishes).
Service was efficient, polite and timely. We were not kept waiting and the food came through at regular intervals
The winery was easy to reach from our house on the Peninsula and traffic was light. Parking was more than adequate.

Lovely restaurant and setting, accommodation needs attention

We stayed one night here and were disappointed with the accommodation. Very basic and in need of some updating. We enjoyed lunch on the terrace - great wines, food and service. The price of the accommodation (at $300 a night) is pretty hefty for what you get. Would recommend the visit, but stay elsewhere if you're looking to treat yourself for a night away.

Family reunion in Melb with accommodation space to spare

Stayed here for a long weekend together with extended family members including a toddler and. Baby. We actually had the run of the whole place upstairs and downstairs accom. Plenty of comfy bedrooms with nice linen, cozy blankets, en-suite bathrooms and baths for the little ones. Fully equipped laundry and 2 kitchens and centrally heated lounge/dining rooms. We were able to stock up on groceries at the local shops, order pizzas from the winery restaurant downstairs. Hired cots and a hire chair from a fabulous local hire place.
Beautiful views over the vineyard and lots of local things to see and enjoy in this area including fabulous wineries. Soooo happy to have found a place that gave us family time with room to really relax together.

Lovely place worth a visit

A gorgeous homey winery with lovely staff and great food! They make you feel welcome and are not wine snobs, giving a full experience as well as the right amount of wine knowledge. The food is delicious and fresh. We keep going back because it’s so lovely! Can’t wait to go again

Nice piece of home

We really appreciated the home away from home. It does need some maintenance; the bathroom sink was totally clogged, the blinds were completely coated in dust, and your couches need replaced as the pleather is peeling. Opening the blinds was also a 2 man job; you really should put drapes in the living room which you can wash every couple of months and which are much easier to open and close. I appreciated the opportunity to do a load of laundry on the first floor apartment, but there literally were no hangers anywhere in the apartment, so we had to lay the laundry across the dining table to dry. This could be a reallyyyyy nice apartment; I hope you make these couple of inexpensive improvements to make it a 5 star and match the quality with the price.
