You can take a walk and explore the neighbourhood area of the hotel. Places nearby: Dachstein Glacier, Hauptplatz and Landschloss Ort.At the hotel Want to be always on-line? Wi-Fi is available. If you travel by car, you can park in a parking zone for free. Sports fans will be able to enjoy a diving club. Ski and snowboard fans will enjoy a skiing area. Haus Rye

The room of this cosy hotel was really net and tidy, the hosts are friendly.
I enjoyed my stay there.
It's about 6km far from Hallstatt.
You can not have lunch or dinner in hotel as far as I know but you can make grill in the garden ,there is a grill platz.

Lovely B&B

We stayed for three nights, the rooms were lovely as were the owners, loved the breakfasts, Great location for the railway station/lake/mountains. Hallstatt was beautiful but incredibly busy (Half of Korea and China were there) but we had a phenomenal walk up to the waterfalls behind Hallstatt and the mountain walking (at the top via cable cars) was stunning. We followed Adrian’s excellent advice and directions.

Rye not!

Great bed and breakfast located in the peaceful area of Obertraun. Adrian and Jillian couldn't have been more accommodating and the rooms were very clean and fresh. A nice contrast to other similar style guest houses I have stayed in in Austria. The addition of a local discount pass and a very reasonably priced mini bar was brilliant. 2 euros for a beer... Bargian. Haus Rye is around a 20 minute walk to the beach if you follow the railway or around 30 mins if you follow the roads. Its also a 20 minute walk from the cable car which takes you to the top of the Krippenstein mountian with its fun attractions such as the ice cave and the 5 fingers. I would highly recommend staying at Haus Rye and dont hesitate to book as I imagine its going to become extremely popular if it isnt already.

Great experience

We stayed for 3 nights, the place and the hosters are extremly cosy, friendly and helpful! They are very kind and helpful with any info required regarding the area. The location is great and the view is amazing! Nice and fresh breakfast.
The rooms are not too big but the place very clean.
Best recommended for anyone who is looking to stay at the area. Best to stay there then the crowded nearby Halshttat.

Great and cosy place

The owners of this B&B are great and caring. Rooms are very cosy and furnished with care. From the balcony you can see horses. Each morning the owner chats with you, asks you about your plans and is very helpful in recommending nearby attractions. Breakfast is typical - baked goods, cheese, ham, corn flakes, yoghurt, ... and as a bonus, if you don't mind, their cat gives you a company during the breakfast (and steals your chair :)). This place is perfect.
