Inexpensive, but surprisingly lovely!

When you book a cheap motel you expect a cheap motel, but this place was cozy, clean, recently upgraded and ideally located. Can't say enough good things about it.
Small kitchenette, more than we needed, but the coffee on hand was great to have. Comfy beds, accommodating staff.
Quiet location on the very edge of town next to a babbling brook and a charming bridge. Only thing we missed was a moose sighting!

Not Recommended.

We travel a great deal and we are pretty good with reading between the lines on the reviews however, this one fooled us.
Lisa was not in the office when we arrived and when I called I had to leave a message. We did not hear back after 15 minutes so we called again and she put us in room #1.
From the outside for what you pay for a night stay is a bargain.
When we stepped inside there was a strong odor, cleaning supplies or mold/mildew. We sprayed with Lysol and it did not take the strong odor away.
The odd smell was causing breathing difficulties for myself so we packed up and were lucky to find another hotel for the night. The hotel manager at the other hotel advised that there are two motels like this one and were not recommended.
The place looks to be recently renovated. It is more like a private hostel however, more expensive than a hostel.
The month of June travelling and this was our only flop.
P.S. We have asked for our money back however, we have not had a reply. We will have to go through our credit card company for a refund.

A truly beautiful experience

I truly had one of the best times I've ever had going anywhere the ladies that clean the room they are absolutely lovely it's the best places anyone could ever visit the staff are amazing the owner is fabulous the rooms are very clean I would give it a six-star rating if it were possible I have never been so attached to a place in my entire life which made it very hard to leave. In this place I know that if we ever come back to Newfoundland I won't even bother to look for another place to stay this is where we're coming I thank you from the bottom of my heart for me and my husband for making our trip here to Newfoundland for the first time I truly memorable visit thank you ladies

Great spot

I had to go east and had to self isolate ,great
Room everything i needed was thereand if not Marcie,Lisa or Fiona went across the road ro the store to get it for me !, Great customer service .. very clean and u can sit out in there little area to watch people going down the Humber River

Lovely little place - Clean, comfortable and reasonably priced

We stayed here one night on a week-long trip to NF. The location wasn’t central, but convenient, on the way into Corner Brook. Very pretty spot next to the river. Checking in was easy, and staff were friendly. The room certainly wasn’t fancy, but it was clean and comfortable, and had what we needed. And the price was right!
