Delightful Drouseia
Spent two nights here, a lovely traditional hotel in an atmospheric traditional village. Rooms were clean and comfortable, nice pool and breakfast was served under the shade of trees and plants. Kyriacos the owner was friendly and responsive and young lady who cleaned and served breakfast was also great.

A delightful old manor house in an ancient Cypriot village
I stayed here for 4 nights as part of my '11 night' Boris inspired quarantine in Cyprus after spending time in 'Red' Dubai. The village of Drouseia is delightful ... everything you would expect from traditional cobbled streets, old church, family run taverna just 50 yards away with vine-clad pergola and good food. The manor is in the centre of this quiet and peaceful village: old stone building with large flower filled courtyard and lovely little pool. There are several large rooms overlooking the courtyard, although mine was at the front: a double with kitchen area, large bed, small shower room, plenty of chairs and tables so with the double doors open I could watch the world go by at its slow pace in the evening sun. In the courtyard there are plenty of places to sit in the shade after a spell on a hot comfortable sun bed .. and when I was there there were very few visitors, mostly because of the UK travel restrictions. Chris, the host, is most welcoming and nothing is too much trouble for her. It has been her family home for many a year and she wants you to share its tranquility and timelessness, to relax and unwind. I have no hesitation in recommending staying here to anyone who wants a taste of old Cyprus, away from the glitz, bustle and activities of the tourist haunts ... although these are all to be had just a few kilometres down the mountain in Polis and Latsi if you need a little bit of that (plus a nice beach).

Perfect place to come and unwind - a real gem
Drouseia and Sappho Manor House are definitely the place to come if you want to unwind and relax. The beautiful verdant courtyard at the back is a place where you just want to linger and linger. We literally sat there for hours, spinning out our delicious breakfasts and savouring the tranquillity.
Our traditional room was really comfortable, and had everything we needed, including a little kitchenette with a fridge and stovetop, which was handy for preparing sandwiches and keeping drinks cold.
We loved the little seating area outside our room at the front, which was raised above the street and was a perfect place to watch the world go by. There is also loads to do in the area - a stunning waterfall, the Avgas Gorge, Lara coastline, Latchi, and you're only half an hour from Paphos too.
Drouseia itself is a lovely little village - very quiet, a nice place to stroll around, with two or three tavernas to choose from, and a traditional Cypriot coffee shop just round the corner, where many backgammon games were played! There was also a very handy supermarket with a wonderfully friendly proprietor, where we could buy fruit, milk, wine, etc.
But it the atmosphere, tranquility and friendliness of this B&B which is what I will come back for. Chrysoulla is the perfect hostess, and nothing was too much trouble for her.

a beautiful oasis in rural setting
This little spot has a beautiful inner courtyard with swimming pool. ( a great place to cool off after a day of exploring the area.) An external raised area outside your room connects you to the some what busy life of an farm town. Yes tractors and buses go by outside so you get a sense of what rural life is all about. Chrysoula the owner is an absolute delight. This is a great location to explore the south west side of Cyprus from.

Great place to stay in Cyprus
My wife and I spent five nights at Sappho Manor House in October and thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The Manor House has a small number of rooms around a nice terrace and pool and our studio was really comfortable. The owner, Christoula, is a lovely lady who could not have been more welcoming. The village, Droushia, was a great place to be based - an interesting little village, 600m up in the hills, with a couple of good restaurants. It is also in easy reach of Pafos, Latsi and the Akamas peninsular, but a million miles from the ghastly tourist developments on the coast. Can't recommend highly enough!
