The staff carries a special part of a good overall experience

Was for a 2-day seminar with work.
Kollekolle is located in an idyllic environment.
A conference venue with a safe setup for their staff and facilities. Good group rooms and fast and secure WiFi.
The room was with a wild good view. Facilities for making coffee in the room and a good large TV.
You can't put a finger on the cleaning.
Two cozy common areas for evening fun. There's both one on the ground floor and one on the ground floor.
Breakfast was ok. Lunch that we got both on arrival and departure day was especially good.
We also ate in the restaurant for dinner. An experience clearly above average.
The best of the place was the staff as all appeared immensely present, helpful in an authentic way and not just because one must and should.
It is clear that more live and breathe for the place. And you can feel it as a guest.
The only thing I'll put my finger on is the unit price of the vegetable snacks that came in before lunch on the second day. 55 kr for a small glass with 4 small cucumbers, another vegetable, and then a little dressing at the bottom. I have seen it either cheaper or more overwhelming elsewhere.
Overall, I would definitely recommend KolleKolle as a conference venue and especially given the fantastic staff.

A Quiet Conference in the Middle of Nowhere (With Unexpected Stress Points)

Went to a conference at this hotel called Kolle Kolle. It’s out in the countryside, almost in a forest. Not a bad thing, to be fair. Feels a bit like you’ve been sent away for observation, but in a cozy way. Trees, quiet, that sort of thing.
First thing about conferences: the breaks. They always make you need the toilet, don’t they? Not sure what it is—maybe the coffee, maybe the pressure of pretending to listen. Now, the urinal situation… I’ve never fully settled on it. If I don’t know anyone at all, fine—like in a shopping centre, no problem. Or if I know people really well, like at a Christmas party with mates, also fine. But this middle ground—conference acquaintances—it’s uncomfortable. You sort of recognise each other but not enough to stand there side by side. I’d rather just shut a door and get on with it.
Conference room itself was decent. Sound was good, chairs were chairs. But the big screen was hanging at a weird angle, like it had given up halfway through being installed. And the presenter—she’d gone all in on slides with loads of pictures. Too many. Felt like being on a slow rollercoaster. Came out of it a bit dizzy, like I’d been spun gently for an hour.
Lunch was alright, but everything came in these tiny bowls. Loads of them. Meant the waiter kept reaching across the table every two minutes to swap them out. Bit like playing a game where your food keeps getting taken away mid-thought. Dinner was better—just two plates, brought to you. Simple. I prefer that. Buffets are stressful. Too many choices, and no one tells you what goes together. You end up with a plate that looks like a dare.
After dinner, there was a gathering in a place called “The Library.” Sounds promising, right? It wasn’t. About 20 books in there. I’ve got more on my bedside table. Felt like calling something “The Ocean” and it’s just a paddling pool. Anyway, I left when someone brought in a soundbox. You could still hear it from the room, which sort of defeats the point of leaving.
Room was standard hotel stuff: safe, iron, coffee machine. The coffee machine had a sign saying you could fill it using the shower. Didn’t like the sound of that. Feels like mixing two things that should stay separate. Also noticed there was no Bible. Not saying I was going to read it, but it used to be there, didn’t it? Quietly judging you from a drawer. Now it’s just gone.
Left the party at 9, thought I’d watch a UFO documentary. Couldn’t get the Chromecast to work. Spent so long messing about with it that I ended up watching it on my phone and fell asleep after ten minutes. So in the end, I learned nothing about UFOs, which might be for the best.
One more thing—hotel door cards. Since they replaced keys, I’m never fully convinced the door is locked. You tap it, it clicks, but you don’t know. You just walk away hoping your stuff is still there later. There’s no satisfying tug-check anymore.
Had a shower in the morning, which I never normally do, but always do in hotels. Forgot my own soap, and the one there was heavily perfumed. Didn’t want to risk it—turn up to the conference smelling like I’ve been marinated, or worse, come out in a rash and look like I’ve got something contagious
All in all a quiet, slightly odd conference experience in a cozy but isolated hotel. Good facilities overall, but small annoyances—awkward social situations, impractical buffet setups, over-the-top presentations, and minor room quirks—added up to a mildly disorienting stay. Not terrible, just… a bit off in places.

Great venue for company events

My company uses KolleKolle for our weeklong event with 30-40 international guests every year, and the hotel always offers great service, fantastic food and excellent facilities in beautiful surroundings. Staff are caring and accommodating to the guests.

Good conference hotel

The hotel is located in a nice area, near to a lake and forest. The facilities are excellent. The rooms are basic, but clean and comfortable. The staff is wonderful! Reception is very welcoming and check in does not take more than 1 minute. The restaurant offers great food, limited choice but very tasteful,

So Disappointed

We have stayed at Kolle Kolle as a family many times and always made to feel very welcome not so on this occasion .Kolle Kolle has been taken over and quite frankly the new owners are not interested in families but are more on the corporate side .We were made to feel very unwelcome the breakfast which after the first morning we never went back to as they seemed to be watching everything single thing we ate as was told back to us by a very rude manager which they had their facts completely wrong.Kolle Kolle is clean but that’s about all I can say after Friday when all the corporate people are away everything is closed down no hot water machine to make yourself a cup of coffee all fruit baskets taken away breakfast hardly any choice .My advice to Kolle Kolle would be stick to your corporate side and close your hotel from Friday evening until Monday morning because what you offer is disgusting.Would never ever go back.

Dear ginqueen2015,
We are very sorry to hear about your experience when staying at KolleKolle. We are sorry that we, in the bookingsystem, only had 3 double rooms with 6 persons registered instead of 3 rooms with 8 persons, which unfortunately caused some confusion at our end. We should also have been more clear in our communication about the fruit and hotwater/coffee, which is not included in the room-rate, but always available for guests who have booked it as part of a package. We would like to thank you for your feed-back, which helps us prevent similar situation in the future and please accept our apology.
