Exceptional food

My husband and I stayed at Hotel Peterle as part of our InnTravel walking holiday in the Black Forest. What an absolute gem. Tobias and his wife (who own this beautiful hotel and restaurant) made sure we had a fantastic stay. We had a lovely room with a balcony overlooking the lawn with beautiful views. The food and wine were sensational. Tobias is a very talented chef and we were delighted to experience a four course meal on our first evening, and a five course menu with matched wines on the second evening. Tobias accommodated the fact that we don’t eat meat without any issues. The fish and vegetarian dishes were exceptional as were the wines.
Even breakfast was beautiful.
We wholeheartedly recommend this lovely hotel and incredible restaurant.

Friendly service which made for a very comfortable stay

This was our favorite hotel in the Black Forest, our room was large and comfortable and it was great to hear the cuckoo clock during our stay.
We also made use of the very large sauna which the staff are very happy to switch on for you to use on request.
The hotel is a very short walk from the station, we caught the train to Barental Feldberg where we started a very nice walk to Feldberg mountain resort and then onto Feldsee tarn, on the way back we stopped to visit the Schnapps museum, I believe the train also goes to Lake Titisee as well.
You can also walk to Barental Feldberg through the forest, about 30 mins.
The staff made us feel very welcome and the food was great.
Michelle provided excellent service during the evening meal, it was a very relaxed and enjoyable experience.

Clean, nice and good food

We recommend the accommodation and will definitely come back. We were very well received. Family hotel, clean, large (room 14) and enough for two adults and two small children. Good food. Ski bus stops virtually at the door and leads to the parking lot about 8Km away. In winter we suggest for the car winter tire. Our tire was mixed and was not enough to roll on the roads from the hotel. We considered that the cost-benefit ratio was positive.

A charming alpine hotel with superb food and wine.

This charming hotel is delightful. It is spotlessly clean, everything sparkles. The food is delicious. We were on a half board basis and had a set menu the first night it was superb and the second night we had the petit gourmet menu with accompanied wines also included in our stay, absolutely perfect. It is a family run hotel in a wonderful setting overlooking the village. They don’t do lunch but we were out walking and on our arrival day we had lunch at the Espress O bistro at the station much nicer than it sounds. Excellent rosti.
