Better there than somewhere else...

Eifel, autumn colours, Ruhrsee + Hotel Roeb = fits !
Robust family-run
House with clean spacious rooms, a nice cozy dining room. Very nice you have included natural woods that provide pleasant indoor climate. The kitchen is hearty, healthy, well digestible + tasty - is seasoned with can. It is so nice that all generations & age groups come together there.The outstanding soul of this house is the staff : helpful, accommodating and very friendly work since several age groups work hand in hand in teamwork and thus lead to the good whole. We also like to use the well-kept sauna area. We recommend the culinary theme weeks: "O' taps is..." until mid-November.
We just feel very comfortable & in good hands.

Very friendly Service in the restaurant

We can only judge the restaurant. It was recommended to us because practically all dishes can also be served gluten-free, which is really great.
The reception and Service were very friendly, the restaurant delighted with a pleasantly small menu. Virtually all foods are gluten-free. The house itself has few parking spaces, but opposite there is a public parking lot.
Pricewise, the restaurant is fully okay and the food was good. However, a reservation is highly recommended, even it is not open every day. When we are in the vicinity, we like to stop back there.

Lovely hotel

The hotel sits in the town of Schmidt which is very pleasant and quiet. The staff were pleasant , friendly and helpful. The availability of an evening meal was a pleasant surprise and was very good. The breakfast served in the morning was also good with a great selection to choose from. The bedroom was spacious with a comfortable bed, a small balcony and a lovely walk in shower.

Very friendly, family run hotel

We stayed for just one night whilst touring, but would have happily stayed longer at this friendly, family run hotel. Being in the small town of Schmidt, it was perfectly situated for exploring the Eifel Forest, with the bonus of some free parking at the rear of the hotel, tucked away from the main road. Our spacious room was clean, comfortable and warm, with a small, furnished balcony. The space-age shower was interesting and delivered the goods. The hotel also has a restaurant which is not always open to the general public, but on those evenings, a limited menu is offered to hotel residents early in the evening, so you do not need to venture out again after a busy day, if you don't wish to. Welcomed to the restaurant with a personalised greeting on the table, we enjoyed a lovely dinner, featuring local pork. After a peaceful, restful night, a great buffet breakfast set us up for another day on the road. Would recommend.
