Excellent the best accommodation
One of the nicest places I've ever stayed in the greenery, you can see the mountain and the sea, it has a wonderful large swimming pool, the staff is very kind, clean and it also has a favorite nova, a wonderful dog.
There is also a huge beach very close by, which is the so-called diocese beach, it is huge and no matter how many people there are, it will never be filled with sand

Superb
Our first time at Calamon. Super pool surrounded by olive groves and flowers. Clean apartment. Fantastic views. Double balcony. Vagelli very helpful. Quiet and peaceful. Many super beaches within easy walk or drive. We will come again as it is so peaceful. Anne and David

Even better than before.
I stayed here last year on my own. This time I have come with my wife. Into our third day of a ten day stay. We are the only people staying here at the moment. Vangelis has been very kind to us and let us have a bigger apartment than the one we booked. The welcome committee consisted of two dogs and two nearly grown up kittens. They are all quite at home in our apartment. We booked for breakfast as well and that has been excellent. Everything about this place is relaxed and 'old Greek' in a no hassle way. Set in an olive grove with a big swimming pool and incredible views of the sea and mountains this is a special place. If you want to chill out you won't find a better place in Crete to do it.

Calm and relaxing!
We had 3 different apartment: The first one (studio,first floor) had been booked in advance online and the 2 other directly with the owner ( we spent 3 weeks in Crete and had booked 3 different apartments in 3 different area of the island online) as we had changed our mind for our last week holiday. And because we really liked the place we wanted to come back :-). We were lucky enough to get the last flat available (1 bedroom apartment, second floor ) and we didn't mind changing flat after 3 nights and spent our last 2 nights in a 3rd flat (studio, ground floor). But then we encountered few little problems between flat Number 2 and flat Number 3... The maid who spoke very little English didn't understand that we were staying in the property and literally threw our food away: lunch for the day, breakfast for the day after, a full bottle of wine and other things... So we did complain and the owner did his best and said he was really sorry and offered us another bottle of wine from his cellar but to be honest with you his mother (that was following the conversation) has been utterly rude and totally impolite to us and told us off, which we found really disrespectful and unmannerly.
The 3 flat were okay, despite the fact that we had to wash the dishes before using it, also unblocked 2 of the showers as the water was not going and as well removing old bathroom towels and used filter coffee and dirty sponge from previous guest...... It seemed that the maid was just there to wash the floor... Oh and no hand soap at all in all 3 apartments.
However we had a great stay and we would recommend Calamon as the owner and his wife were very friendly. The swimming pool is amazing and the view stunning! There is a Bbq for the guest and we used it just about every nights!!!

Cheap and cheerful
Stayed here for nine nights. Very basic but friendly and 'old Greek'. Surrounded by olive groves. A super pool. Amazing views. A bit out of the way so a car is essential. But a fabulous beach is just a five minute drive away. Rethymnon is a few miles further and the apartments are a good starting point for exploring inland.
If you can survive without WiFi in your bedroom this is a great place to chill out and relax at a really reasonable price.
