Great holiday best fun ever
Just back from this hotel yesterday. Had an amazing time went with friends and made friends who have been going to this hotel for the last 15* years. The staff are extremely helpful pleasant and friendly one big family. Yes the rooms are basic but cleaned every day. You get what you pay for! I don’t know what people eat for breakfast at home but there was plenty warm croissants with jam were my favourite. Was going to buy from a selection of hot choices but didn’t as enjoyed continental. Yes pressure went down at times yes air con had plastic btl outside not a problem pool was very clean every day and I lived it I am going back next year for 2 weeks with the gang from all over u.k. I spent a week in luxury in Cape Verde in Feb this year but the friendly atmosphere in hotel and the shops bars restaurants if Roda have wine me over see you next year Panos and family

⭐ 1 Star – Not Worthy of Its 3-Star Rating
Unfortunately, our stay at Aphrodite Beach Hotel was extremely disappointing, and in our experience, this hotel is nowhere near the standard you would expect from a 3-star property.
From the moment we arrived, we encountered issues. The rooms are very dated and in need of significant refurbishment. The toilet roll holder was literally being held together with masking tape, which sums up the general condition of the room. The glasses provided in the room were never replaced during our two-week stay, despite being used.
The air conditioning was another major issue. Rather than having a proper drainage system, the unit had a water bottle underneath it to collect the water, which needed to be emptied around three times a day. If this wasn't done, the balcony would flood, creating an extremely dangerous situation.
The shower was also faulty and would not stay properly attached to the wall, meaning we had to physically hold the shower whilst washing.
For around three days, we also had barely any water. We were told there was apparently an airlock somewhere in the system. Having limited access to water for several days is completely unacceptable, particularly in a hotel.
The breakfast was also extremely disappointing. The choice was very limited and repetitive, with toast and boiled eggs being the main options. After two weeks, there is only so much toast and boiled eggs you can eat, and we eventually stopped eating breakfast at the hotel altogether. For a two-week stay, we expected much more variety and choice.
The biggest concern, however, was the swimming pool. The pool was visibly dirty and, at one point, was so green that you could not see the bottom. We raised our concerns with the hotel and asked whether the pool was going to be cleaned. The response we received was, "Have you analysed the water?" This was an incredibly dismissive response to a genuine health and safety concern.
Following our concerns about the pool, my son unfortunately developed an ear infection, which made the situation even more concerning for us as parents. We raised our complaints with the hotel, but there was no satisfactory resolution.
Because we were not comfortable allowing our children to use the pool at Aphrodite Beach Hotel, we chose to use the pool at Panorama Studios instead. The difference was night and day. The pool was clean and well maintained, and the staff there were extremely welcoming, friendly and accommodating. It was disappointing that we felt more comfortable and welcomed at another property than at the hotel we had actually paid to stay at.
What made matters worse was the attitude of some of the staff, particularly the evening receptionist, who we found to be extremely rude. Once we made a complaint, it felt as though the attitude of the hotel staff towards us completely changed. Staff who had previously spoken to us stopped acknowledging or speaking to me and my family, which made the remainder of our stay very uncomfortable.
A hotel will inevitably have the occasional maintenance issue, but the number of problems we experienced, combined with the lack of response and poor attitude when these issues were raised, is what made this stay so disappointing.
The condition of the room, lack of basic maintenance, unreliable water supply, inadequate air-conditioning drainage, faulty shower, poor breakfast, dirty swimming pool and poor customer service are simply not what I would expect from a hotel advertising itself as a 3-star property.
Based on our experience, I would not recommend Aphrodite Beach Hotel and certainly would not return.

First time staying and definitely will be back!
Our friend’s have stayed at this Hotel for thirty years and were always saying how nice it is.
We booked it as a surprise and it worked a treat.
Warm welcome on arrival. Pleasantly surprised as we were upgraded to a sea view room (205). It was so nice to hear and see the sea. It was so quiet. Absolutely stunning.
Rooms well appointed with plenty of hanging space, air con (payable locally), tv, kettle, fridge. Hot water all the time. Nice fluffy towels. Cleaned every day and the rooms were spotless.
Breakfast always nice and fresh - homemade yoghurt and honey, eggs, ham, tomatoes, cucumber, cereals, croissants and homemade cake daily.
Natalie who looks after the sun loungers and beach bar works very hard and nothing is too much trouble. Just fifty steps from the Hotel’s front door to my waiting lounger on the front row.
The Yacht Club was where we had our evening meal and even after ten days the meals were variable. Great service from all the staff.
We definitely will be back.

Poor unfriendly staff
Very lovely welcome from panos .. first time to Roda and Aphrodite .. rest of the staff not friendly didn’t engage in any conversation or say good morning at breakfast .. rude when requesting ice to have a drink in room although paid for soft drinks to compensate .. cleaners loud noisy talking loud and on phone @ 8 .. we are on holiday you know !!! .. room not mopped cleaned properly proof with spilt coffee grains on floor for 3 days and dressing table .. we were told by others we met that have been back to Roda for many years there is a click @ Aphrodite obviously we were not part of that all other people in this village were do friendly and welcoming we will be back to Roda but not the Aphrodite .

First time visit
Location good on sea front access to all amenities lovely warm welcome from Panos .. room suffice apart from only 1 available plug socket had to jeep swapping and changing . Charging the phones making a cuppa or plugging in mosquito plug which is needed .. staff not welcoming during stay even could not say good morning @ breakfast which is very unlike Greek family run businesses everywhere else in the resort we got warm welcomes conversations etc .. even ordering food or drinks nothing but miserable faces hence we went out everyday all day … cleaners so noisy chatting first thing in morning not normal voices but loud on their phones etc we are on holiday and don’t need waking at this time appreciate some may be up early .. room not always cleaned properly spilt dry coffee on floor and dressing table for 3 days ?! Dirty cup left on balcony for same amount of time .. we will return to Roda but unfortunately not the Aphrodite we’re obviously not in the click ..
