Melrose forever!
Beautiful experience!! Maria's kindness, hospitality, and courtesy make the stay unforgettable. Attention to detail and care for the customer are not often found. Every day she provided us with breakfast featuring local products. It is very nice to have the little bag of bread on the door handle every morning.
Go there, you will not regret it!!!

I cannot praise the Melrose highly enough. The views are lovely. The location is ideal: close enough to town for an easy walk in and far away enough to have beautiful views and a very quiet stay. Our apartment was large and well equipped with much attention to thoughtful details. It had two lovely balconies and was light, spacious and immaculate. The kitchen was stocked with everything one could need, including the food for breakfast complete with fresh bread delivered every morning in front of the door. But what stood out most for us was the incredible kindness and attentiveness of our hosts. My husband and I must have remarked to each other how nice they were at least 15 times in a 24 hour period. Maria picked us up at the ferry and had our luggage brought to the room, on departure she met us in town at the ferry with our luggage which we had left in our room. She could not do enough for us and refused our attempt to display our gratitude with a generous tip. We came from a conference on Skiathos where we had been invited to a five star hotel but our fondest memories by far are of our stay at the Melrose. I cannot recommend it highly enough.

The property stands out for its warm welcome and quiet atmosphere. The apartments are spacious, clean and well furnished, with special attention to detail. The rooms are equipped with all the necessary amenities, including free Wi-Fi, air conditioning and an equipped kitchen, perfect for those who want to prepare their own meals using fresh local ingredients.
Melrose's strong point is its strategic location. A few minutes walk from the city center of Skopelos, it is ideal for those who want to explore the local traditions and culture, with its typical restaurants, taverns, and craft shops. At the same time, the beautiful beaches of the island, such as Stafylos and Panormos, are within easy reach, offering the opportunity to alternate moments of relaxation at sea with walks in the pine forests.
The staff at Melrose are extremely friendly and helpful (Mrs. Maria and her father above all who picked us up when we disembarked and brought us back when we left). Mrs. Maria is always ready to provide suggestions on what to see or do on the island and stands out for the ability to make guests feel at home.
In summary, Melrose is the ideal choice for those looking for a relaxing stay in an authentic place, surrounded by nature and with impeccable service. We look forward to returning!

Skopelos is a beautiful island but there are disproportionate prices of services and goods offered, in other words, it is quite overpriced and unfortunately friendly mainly to foreign tourists and not the Greeks. Within 10 days we heard 2-3 times "thank you"!!!!
The accommodation was spacious, clean, with nice and well-kept garden and good parking. It was also overpriced compared to other cosmopolitan islands where modern accommodation with sea view and no fields are offered. In Tinos in a corresponding accommodation with very good views of the sea in 2022 we paid almost half the money with a rich breakfast ready in the garden and two separate rooms.
The location of the property convenient about 12-13 minutes from the center of the country by foot.
The breakfast was moderate and limited for the cost of accommodation and while waiting to be served ready, as usual everywhere, we had to prepare it ourselves every day, which was not specified during the "closure" with the owner.
