July jazz festival, amphitheatre-b
Fabrica Farm is a perfect setting for this evening series of Jazz music sets hosted by Vamos Art.
There is a private amphitheatre round the back of the farmhouse, in front of which was a small stage for our entertainers.
Starting at 9.30pm the stars were out on a moonless night, and the music was divine. We were held spellbound for the whole 90 minutes.

Disappointed by Fabrica 2 (not violent cleaning and terrible mattresses)
I stayed 12 nights at Fabrica 2 in July 24 for 75 €/night. 27 to 37° during the day.
The house is divided into 3 units; Fabrica 1, 2 and 3. It has a lot of charm because it houses an old oil mill in which Koula barydakis offers cooking classes that are top. Not to be missed!
Fabrica 2 is on 3 levels:
- Ground floor living room with kitchenette and terrace,
- 1st floor 1st bedroom under attic with twin beds with corner toilet washbasin, -
- "basement" which actually overlooks the entrance of the mill, 2nd bedroom 1 bed 140 cm and shower room, cupboard under the stairs.
For:
- Location in the center of the village, close to a small cafe quite charming and the tavern Bloumosifi. The Obelix bakery is great.
- Kalyvès beach a few km away (car required though).
- Cooler basement to sleep: I slept without the fan with the door window open. On the 1st floor, air conditioning required to sleep because no air at all (no window).
- The cleaning lady collects garbage bags about every 2 days. 2 new and clean towels per person and a dish towel provided every 3 days. Sheets changed very often also.
- Fruit, small bottle of olive oil and bottle of water offered on arrival.

Against:
I have back problems and therefore, I have not managed to sleep on mattresses that are not comfortable at all. On the first floor, the twin beds are equipped with very hard spring mattresses and these springs, we feel... terrible for me. In the basement, the 140 cm mattress with springs but it's a little better, you can't feel them. However, it is very hard for those who do not have a full body.
- The accommodation would need updating: rusty refrigerator downstairs, oven with 2 rusty electric plates also, weird shower head.
And he could use a housekeeping from top to bottom. There are cobwebs everywhere. The dishes are not clean and neither is the cupboard in which it is stored. Dust when you run your finger over the shelf in the shower room, on the shelves where the plates are placed, on the coffee table... Seriously?... Sink and sink not scrubbed, top of dirty refrigerator, switches and dirty outlets. We even found a dry lizard on the glass shelf. A total cleaning had not been done before our arrival. I asked the tourist office to clean up the second day but nothing convincing was done. So for those who like cleanliness, this is not necessarily the ideal place.
The 3 terraces are next to each other, so, no privacy, and difficult for non-smokers when there are smokers next door.
- The "basement" and the 1st floor have only a very small window, so it is very dark (but it also protects from the heat, you can not have everything).

Friendly Fabrica
Pros:The location was great for what we wanted to do during our stay. It sits adjacent to the owner's house and is surrounded by an abundance plants as well as some animals (roosters/chickens) and the owner's dogs. The owners Nikos and Lola are very nice people and greeted us on our arrival. Our family of 4 selected the split level room with kitchenette. The place overall, was cozy and spacious for 4 adults. Our visit was in November and the weather wasn't the greatest, but I can see this place being even better in the summer or warmer months. Having a kitchenette is a plus for those who prefer to cook and stay in on some nights- the owners grow a lot of things on their farm to include herbs, and offered us to use any of it while were there.
Cons: Not sure when it was occupied last, but I felt there could have been a more thorough once over cleaning, as there were build ups of spider webs in a lot of corners and other bugs around the area. Another downside, which was more of an inconvenience was their shower set up. The downstairs bathroom has a place for a shower, but the job looks incomplete. All you have is a toilet, sink and a corner in which the shower is set up. The shower head is not affixed to anything and you have to hold it the entire time. It also isn't built with a shower curtain or wall separating the shower from the rest of the bathroom. So, when you shower, the water sprays everywhere- on the toilet and sink area (the main areas one would use when not showering). You even have to squeegee the water towards the drain to clean the floor before using the bathroom. The upstairs bathroom only has a tub. Its shower head also isn't affixed to anything and you have to hold it if you want to use it. There isn't an option to stand and shower unless you would like to clean up a bunch of water everywhere. However, if you like baths, then you'll be fine.

Fabric a farms wins our vote
Beautiful property in great surrounds. Fruit trees abundant. We picked apricots to have with our local sheeps yoghurt from vrysses sublime. Very comfortable accommodation a short walk or drive to town. Recommend vehicle to experience the beautiful surroundings

Fabrica Farm
Fabrica Farm queda un poco alejado del pueblo (como 15 minutos a pie) pero vale la pena, es muy tranquilo y como su nombre lo indica, es una granja tradicional, hay animales cerca y cultivos en la parte de atrás (también hay un pequeño anfiteatro). Realmente recomendable si se gusta de la vida rural. Los dueños son una pareja muy hospitalaria!
