Disclaimer: this is going to be one of your best vacation stays!!!
This is a very cosy property near Falachan river with multiple cottages.
This place has a rustic vibe, the wooden cottages are constructed thoughtfully; thematically designed switches & lights, minimalistic yet elegant design and well lit bathroom with a view.
The food is homely and delicious, they serve breakfast, lunch & dinner with good options for both vegetarians and non vegetarians. They are also happy to accommodate requests for few quick bites and evening coffee.
Do I need to talk about the view? This is the reason I selected this place and will attach some photos to do justice because words cannot.
But the best part about the whole stay, was the people and the lessons I learned from them. Extremely hardworking, humble and courteous people who are ready to go the extra mile to do the right things right and to add to your experience because you are their guest.
A part of me wants to recommend this place to the whole world and a part of me wants it to stay hidden. But they deserve a shout out, hence the review

Riverside Haven: Warmth, Nature, and Unmatched Hospitality

The Great Escape has captured my heart from the very first visit, and I keep coming back because it feels like a true second home. The host’s (Karan and Sampada) incredible warmth and hospitality go far beyond expectations, creating an experience that’s nothing short of exceptional every single time. Nestled by the riverside, the setting is perfect for nature lovers—I’ve had unforgettable birding moments here. And the food? Always fresh, with the trout fish being the finest I’ve ever tasted! If you’re searching for a place that offers comfort, beauty, and genuine connection, look no further.It is heaven for people who yearn for calm and peaceful surrounding. The place is pure magic, and I can’t recommend it enough!

Truly a great escape from the chaotic hustle and bustle of city life.

Great Escape Tirthan is a hidden gem, hosted by the welcoming family of Mr. Karan Bharti. Guests can enjoy leisurely walks around the village, visit orchards, indulge in angling adventures, or simply relax in their beautiful cottages nestled beside the Falachan river. The tranquil sound of the babbling river provides a serene escape from the chaotic hustle and bustle of city life.
The food was excellent, and we were fortunate to try the seasonal Fiddlehead fern. I highly recommend this hidden gem to anyone who values nature and seeks to rejuvenate their mind, body, and soul amidst natural surroundings.

Great place for great reasons

So this place is like the last surviving places which is not crowded in Tirthan valley, you need to see the scale of construction to know. It’s bang on the riverbank, you can sip coffee and walk to the river that close. Rooms have ample space and skylight just adds to the magic. I went during winters and they have tandoor facility in each room to keep you warm. Food is fresh, tasty and home like. It’s perfect to slow down and relax, ample of activities you can do around like hike walk fishing. Open spaces are green and full of flowers beds and creepers perfect for outdoor yoga. The music of river flowing just adds to the vibe. Had a perfect staycation.

Home away from home.

The property location is very nice away from the city's noise pollution. It is situated on the bank of the Tirthan River. One can enjoy the scenic beauty and tranquility for hours near the river bank or from your balcony. The surrounding green forest adds to the beauty of this place. There is a motorable road up to the property. The rooms in the cottage are spacious and very clean with clean bedsheets. The washroom was very clean with a hot water supply from the rooftop solar system. There was a sitting place for about 15-20 people outside the cottage where we played tombola and partied with friends. The food prepared by Mr. Karan and his wife was very delicious and tasty. The trout fish that was prepared on our request was awesome. Mr. Karan served homemade food which was served with love and affection. We enjoyed bathing in the Tirthan River and spent hours near the river bank. Mr Karan was very helpful in arranging the vehicle for going to nearby places and was quick to solve our problems. It was a memorable experience staying in this homestay with my family and friends. We love to come again and again to this place.
