All-you-can-drink, a wide buffet, and plenty of hot springs

It takes about 4 hours by bus from Ueno to get to this large building, which consists of three buildings on the eastern edge of Atami. There is the 6-storey Takasago Building, and the 9-storey Main Building and East Building. We stayed in Room 618 on the 6th floor of the Main Building. I don't remember exactly, but it was a room with 8 tatami mats, 6 tatami mats, and 3 tatami mats with a wooden floor. I felt that the tatami mats had been replaced recently.
Meals were served buffet style for both dinner and breakfast, with a wide variety of Japanese, Western, and Chinese food, and I liked how the staff quickly replenished them when they ran out.
As a drinker, I started off with two glasses of beer, then a whiskey on the rocks, and finished with sake.
The hot springs are the largest "Roman Bath", the medium-sized "Flower Bath", and a small open-air bath. According to the analysis sheet attached to the changing room, the spring quality is a calcium-sodium chloride spring, and the temperature is 47.5℃. After returning home, I checked the temperature of the Atami Onsen and found that it was between 65 and 45 degrees Celsius, which is on the low side for Atami.
This was the highest price range among the Itoen Hotels, and the facilities and services were accordingly.

I let you down.

The building is too old. I was surprised to find the sofa in my room in tatters. There's not much of a Viking variety, there's only tempura and chikuwa.
There was no facial foam or lotion in the washroom. You can only use one bath towel.

It sucked.

I stayed at the Matsukawa-kan of the same group in March and it was so good that I stayed at the main building where I had stayed before in May.
Anyway... dinner sucks!! The same group (and the location is just a stone's throw away!)
It's a big difference. The only sushi is squid and tuna (and bonito tuna), so how can the topping be cut so thinly? About.
It's hard to convince them it's cheap!
All-you-can-drink alcohol, but that's too bad for those who don't.
This is at your own risk, but the key to the valuables safe in your room is now the analog key.
I accidentally lost it and paid 11,000 yen more than the accommodation fee (crying)
I won't go there again. At least the main building of the Ito...

Hot Springs Tour at Itoen Hotel

I stayed at the Itoen Hotel Annex and visited the Itoen Hotel for a hot spring tour. It is about a 2-minute walk from the annex. You can go there wearing a yukata. The hot springs are better in the main building than in the annex. Matsukawakan is even better.

A good package for a couple

We were there right after the typhoon 19th that had a big impact to many Japanese people. For that reason, I believe that there were a lot of cancellations and it was not as busy as we expected. We took comfort ourselves of being part of the 'move the economy force', which was also required at those hard times. We spent a couple of nights at the Itoen Hotel 'Honkan' -Whihs is the main one. The package included both dinner buffet with drinks and breakfast buffet. It is true that it is an old hotel in the middle of the resort region, but very traditional for the locals. We opted to use the Japanese style tatami-room which was big for the 2 of us. We had the plan to enjoy the hot springs and the food. And enjoy we did. Itoen Hotels in Ito has 3 in the same road. Because we were staying in one, we could enter the other hotels hot springs.. Eventually we tried 9 indoor hot springs and 3 outdoor hot springs. The dinner buffet was excellent with plenty of sashimi, sushi, noodles and by chance, we were there during the 'beef steak festival' and the chef was cooking a mouth-melting pieces of real wagyu. Beer and sake were free, but with so much food to try, there was no time for drinks. Breakfast was another nice experience with tiny portions of everything. I could not believe how many variety of sashimi we had for breakfast. In all, it was a great getaway after my 2 weeks of work in Japan. I would not mind staying again, next time, I would try the western style rooms.
