The barefoot trail is the No. 1 attraction in Latvia

The reviewa here combine the hotel and the barefoort trail. I am talking only about the trail.
FOR US IT WAS THE MOST FASCINATING ATTRACTION IN RURAL LATVIA. THE WALK IS SIMPLY A LOVELY EXPERIENCE.I ADMIRE THE IDEAS OF THE CREATORS. TO FIND SO MANY DIFFERENT MNATERIALS TO WALK ON IS SUPER IMAGINATION AND CREATIVITY.

fantastic location, great food

supernice location in the middle of the forest, close to a river. The forest/park offers natural walks (like barefoot and cultural) and it is very quiet and peaceful. We had a family room with 2 bedrooms. Everything fine.
the restaurant was sensationall also the staff in it. Breakfast was really really fantastic. Only criticism is that we had the feeling that we were the only overnight guest there and left on our own over night.

A unique experience

When you start the walk of the 3 kilometer pare foot, your foot will get hurt a lots relaxing little !!! Stones mud wood water everything you can think of ,, it takes about 2 hours more or less ,and make sure u get the spa for your foot afterwards,,, it cost about 10 Euro pp ,, then when you finish and walking you will then feel the difference!!!! Unbelievable experience and well recommended if you visit Latvia

Our favourite in Latvia

We decided to go here because of the Barefoot path that looked like a lot of fun. Hotel is simply fantastic, we got the Panoramic suite, with a breath-taking view directly on the lake. The suite is really spacious (bedroom, and a living room with enough space to dance, do yoga, probably to have a meeting with 10 people), bathroom is clean and large enough. Staff is great, really nice, friendly and professional. The restaurant has excellent coffee (not with breakfast, order it separately) and the a la carte dinner was absolutely fantastic - I recommend the festive soup and fish. The bed is really comfortable and the breakfast choice decent enough.
After the perfect overnight stay we extended the stay for additional night and took a swim in the lake, that is a bit colder in this time of the year, but wonderful - you are basically alone in the lake, with some fish. :) Hotel offers bike and boat rental as well, plus during the day (until three PM) you have a budget-friendly three-course lunch offer, that was really tasty, I recommend it!
The barefoot path is a great fun, that I would totally recommend as well. All in all the best thing we experienced in Latvia so far, there isn't a thing I would point out as bad.

Excellent place to visit

We had wonderful walk in the forest where we could see very beautiful photo exhibition and later had lunch in their restaurant which was wonderful. The food was very delicious and great value for money.
