The hotel itself is nice but and the rooms are clean but they need upgrades, especially in the bathrooms. What was really disappointing what the quality of the food. We had dinner at the hotel arrived, and the food was terrible and the prices were outrageous. Not recommended at all the service at the restaurant was also not great considering there was nobody in the restaurant, my son had to go over to get their attention to have a water refill. For the price of the room, you can definitely get a nicer place in Merida with a delicious breakfast included in the price.

Lack of security and zero management support

I stayed at Fiesta Inn Merida Altabrisa in early February I arrived on the 5th for commission reasons with a group of colleagues.
Unfortunately, on the first day of our stay I suffered theft of cash inside the room. My partner was also the victim of the same act. The money was not in the safe because it was not working properly at the time, a situation that was reported.
We immediately reported what happened to the hotel. They told us they would conduct an investigation and check cameras, but we never received a formal response or follow-up. Nor did the management approach to provide an explanation or at least show empathy for the very uncomfortable and vulnerable situation we live in.
We have written record of what happened and we file a complaint. However, the answer was virtually non-existent. We felt that the hotel fell out of responsibility without offering solutions or accompaniment.
It is very sad to live in such a situation in a hotel where you pay significant amounts expecting security and trust. Beyond money, what hurts the most is the sense of vulnerability and inattention to a serious event.
I must clarify that our experience in Merida was very good overall; the people were friendly and the destination beautiful. However, the attention received at this hotel in the face of a burglary inside the room has undoubtedly been the worst experience of the trip.
I hope this review will help the hotel improve its security and customer service protocols.

Very clean room. Very friendly staff. The food was quite good at the Restaurant. I just wished they had a better selection of wines. Easy access to shops and other Restaurants
