A very comfortable B & B for our 1st night in Namibia

This is a very comfortable B & B and ideal for a one night stay after a long journey. The Guesthouse is about 10 minutes by car from the city centre in the middle of a residential area. The walls have barbed wire around them & a security gate to enter the car parking area. There is a central building where the hosts live and on either side of this are the bedrooms. At the back of the house is a patio area where we had breakfast and a small swimming pool. Our room was comfortable with a queen bed, a fridge, a TV which may or may not have worked as we didn’t use it and reasonable Wi-fi. The room was large enough for one night. There was a separate en suite bathroom with a shower, one wash hand basin. There were plenty of towels but no hair dryer though you could ask for one at reception. Breakfast consisted of an extensive cold buffet with meats, cheeses cereals etc and hot dish to order. The hosts were, we felt, fairly impersonal and not that interested in talking to us. However that really didn’t matter to us as we were only there one night !!!!

Worst ever

Room air cons did not work, televisions not on as owner finds it too expensive to subscribe, the worst cleaning of a room that I have ever seen on a daily basis , felt as if the room was the same from the night before

OK for a night...

We stayed here for one night at the beginning of our Namibian holiday. We were warmly greeted on our arrival and shown to rooms on the ground floor facing the swimming pool. They were quite small but comfortable enough with aircon and the usual en suite facilities and wifi. The TV's had been removed but this was of no concern. We had pre-booked dinner at a restaurant in town but the taxi ordered by the guesthouse was late arriving (he forgot!) and had to be chased twice for a pick up later...not great. Breakfast was very good with eggs cooked to order. As others have said it helps if you are a dog lover as there are a couple wandering around. The guesthouse does not take credit card for small amounts of money. Perfectly adequate for an overnight stay.
