Fine for a stay in the center of Uden

Nice room, warm welcome, great breakfast. The night before the night we had a lovely and cozy dinner at Jambon. Room is equipped with a kitchenette with hob, fridge, kettle and Nespresso machine. Also air conditioning and an outdoor area with a seat that all guests can use.

Very bad

Miserable hotel room (room 1). The room was musty. Bathroom ceiling moldy and a hole in it. The sink hardly drained. Cover plate for radiator was missing a large part. Old furniture. No socket at the dining table. Free-standing wardrobe that was not attached to the wall. Sockets (cat 6) placed loosely in the wall. Lighting above the stairs leading to the rooms is defective. Creaking floor. Too many to mention. Never experienced such a bad room before!

Romantic studio-loke room

The room is fantastic for a couple in a romantic trip, it includes a little kitchen which will make the stay a bit cheaper. The location of the hotel is great, 5 minutes walking away from downtown. A lot of restaurants and shopping nearby. The only con was the wifi had a good speed but used to have micro cuts.

Heerlijk gegeten

Het Stillmarillion concert in de Pul begint een aardige traditie te worden. Daar hoort ook weer een mooi etentje bij bij Jambon, dat beviel de vorige keer zeer goed.
Na een kleine communicatiestoornis met de (zeer vlotte en vriendelijke) ober kwamen we in het zitgedeelte terecht. Bestellen ging vlot, het uitserveren duurde ongeveer 30 minuten na bestelling.
Ikzelf had kogelbief, deze was heerlijk op smaak en precies zoals ik 'm hebben wil. Mijn vader genoot van een groene curry, die was daar ook zeer over te spreken. Daarbij kreeg ik een paar mooie IPA's geserveerd.
Een dessert paste er helaas niet meer in, daar zijn de hoofdgerechten te groot voor. Of beter gezegd: groot genoeg en prima!
Toiletbezoek is ook interessant, je loopt dan door het gedeelte wat niet gebruikt wordt als restaurant (ik denk alleen bij grote groepen). Ik vind het een prachtige ruimte, hoop dat we daar nog ooit eens komen te zitten.

Briljant

Hoe mooi; hotelkamers met eigen opgang. Het zijn er een stuk of 8. De ontvangst van de bediening is gezellig en kneuterig: vertrouwd! Bij binnenkomst hotelkamer, we waren verrast. Net even anders dan een doorgaande hotelkamer. Een keukentje met koelkast (lees: geen minibar), kastjes, glaswerk, servies, pannen, nespresso en waterkoker. In de kast lag nog een föhn en strijkbout. Theedoeken en een vaatdoek. Genoeg handdoeken om mee te douchen. Her en der zou de schoonmaak iets beter kunnen (stof op kastjes en stopcontacten, vingers bij deurkrukken). Bij het eerste ontbijt was er op ons gerekend, bij het tweede ontbijt, bleek er een kleine miscommunicatie te zijn ( te weinig ingedekt en meerdere gasten die niet waren doorgekomen). Het is perfect opgelost en er werd alles aan gedaan om een ieder te voorzien voor zijn/hun ontbijt. Ontbijt is btw prima! Veel vooral. De gastvrijheid is echt super goed. Het matras was voor ons te zacht, maar dat is persoonlijk. Bedden waren trouwens wel heel schoon! Doucheruimte en toilet zag er keurig uit. Inpandig is er een klein terras waar je kunt roken/zitten.
We hebben niet de kans gehad om er savonds te eten (familiebezoek), maar de kaart zag er prima uit (prijzen qua gerecht zijn heel goed betaalbaar).
Een super gezellig en goed hotel. Ook qua geluid van buitenaf (immers slaap je boven een horeca-gelegenheid), is prima. Goede afsluitbare gordijnen. Prima en leuk hotel!
