Recommended!!

Super friendly staff, very helpful and friendly.
Rooms were nice! Would boast very much of how good experience we had when we traveled with dog. We got a pet friendly room where the dogs thrived, was very convenient with own outlet for airing so we let go through the reception.
In short, I recommend this hotel!!

Five Guys

Five guys, five motorcycles and a trip we'll never forget. When we rolled into the Heartbreak Hotel, we were not only offered a bed for the night – we were welcomed as old friends.
The staff is absolutely amazing and makes you feel at home from the first moment. The atmosphere is warm, relaxed and filled with the community that all bikers appreciate. After many miles on the road, there are few emotions that beat parking your bike, sitting down with a smile and feeling that you have really found the right place.
A big thank you to the whole crew at Heartbreak Hotel for your hospitality and love. You made our trip even more memorable. We can warmly recommend anyone who loves the freedom of two wheels to make a stop here. See you again – it’s only a matter of time. Ride safe! ️

Charming and cosy atmosphere!

Brand new owners transform this hotel into a charming and satisfying place. Hotel owner Erik has the warmest smile and gave us the best service. There is still a little left to get established for the new owner, but got the feeling of always being cared for and seen when he was at work.
Otherwise the rooms were spotless, the beds soft and the common areas had a raw and elegant aesthetic that was in the style of the surrounding nature. A hotel with identity!
Highly recommended if you are going to Sjoa rafting or horse riding on the Upper Island!

Heartbreak to leave

We traveled as a large family from California and had an incredible time hanging out at The Heartbreak Hotel. We came for the wine and somehow left with a tattoo! Erik, the host, has transformed the place into something iconic and welcoming—and hosts rotating tattoo artists - Vlad was so pro and all 6 of us had tattoos commemorating our trip to Norway in one morning - the hotel sits perched obove a sweeping view of green- it feels like a piece of history restored.
It’s the kind of spot that would be perfect for a wedding or family reunion. We only wish we had stayed the night as lodgers to take it all in. The area offers so much to do—whitewater rafting, hiking, horseback riding—and the hotel itself makes you feel like part of the family.
Five stars all the way.

Charming

We had a very pleasant two night stay at Heartbreak Hotel. The owner and team are very dedicated, the building has a lot of charm. I'm giving them a perfect score, not because they are perfect but because this fairly new team has a passion to serve, to improve and to succeed. It's a house with a heart, so please give them a break!
