Family weekend

From Aguilar de Campoo Palencia. The whole Fontaneda family have had an unforgettable weekend. Thank you Sultan for your kindness, we felt at home. Like other times, the breakfasts so delicious, with your spectacular pancakes and homemade cakes, scrambled , croissant and that smell of fresh coffee. The hotel’s antiquity transports you back to other times so it gives it a special charm. The bedding is of a white and excellent quality and is always clean. Thank you very much family, we will be back as soon as we can.

Don't go!

The Hotel is in urgent need of renovation. It is a shame that building so beautiful and so well located in that state of decline and ugliness. The rooms are ugly, old, and they feel bad. the bathroom the same. A mess....the friendly front desk person, but I could do little. Very disappointed and not cheap for the hotel disaster it is. Don't go!

Nice hotel in great location. The host/owner was not very friendly though. Bossy from the check in. When I missed a scheduled dinner she treated me like crap the following morning. Breakfast at 0830, the kitchen wasn't even open. I waited 30 minutes for a cup of tea (when the nice co-worker arrived). I needed to get going and asked for a croissant only. I was served a ham/cheese croissant, a flattened burned croissant and a regular croissant. Whatever. I say this. Ribadesella is a lovely tourist area with many nice places to stay. Look elsewhere. As I was leaving she informed me she had waited 2 hours for me to come to dinner and it was not good. I apologized for falling asleep twice but she was obviously upset. Tough business.

HIGHLY RECOMMENDED HOTEL

Very good experience in this hotel, the family and very friendly treatment, Very good breakfasts, they are not buffet but you can choose from many options, all homemade, such as the pancakes and the homemade cake, which were delicious. We stayed in four double rooms, the rooms were large, the beds and pillows were very comfortable and spacious, and everything was very clean. Wonderful views of the port. Very good location. It does not have parking but there is a parking esplanade right in front. Totally recommended. We are already thinking about the next vacation to enjoy this hotel and its staff again, especially the kindness of Sultan.

Unpresentable

They knew the bathroom had a water leak and they still rented the room. I fell and took a bad hit, they told us that they would reimburse us for two nights and at check out they told us that they need an injury report when the fall had been 48 hours before. All this loudly and with incredible disrespect. To all this, the hotel is old and neglected. We will never return!!
