Style over substance
When we arrived we found that the aircon wasn't working. The remote customer care provided some advice to get it going to no avail, and then advised that as it was a saturday at 6pm they had no maintenance staff available.
Fine, we'd just checked in hadn't used anything in the room we asked for a refund os we could move elsewhere - we got a no for that.
We asked for fans to be delivered, we got a no for that.
In a large city and with a hotel group with other hotels in the area I can't believe that they couldn't find someone that could pick up a fan and bring it over.
Basically they couldn't be bothered. They had our money and that was it.
There was no compensation offered, no steps to make it better, for example even a 'we're really sorry, we'll throw in breakfast for rest of your trip' or 'here's a bottle of wine' would have been something but basically it was 'i'm sorry i can't do anything to help'. -not authorised to give a refund, no initiative to try and fix the situation,.
A message for the management, if you are having someone on a remote reception - have someone that has some autonomy as well as skills to provide decent customer service.
I've stayed at other blanq hotels and really liked them and I was really looking forward to this stay as it was first time my husband and I had been away without kids in ages, and I have to say it was really really rubbish arriving to a sweaty box and a computer says no mentality of a remote receptionist - we couldn't even sleep with window open as it was a patio door so I wasn't comfortable leaving it open from a security point of view. Also in terms of amenities, there was a fridge - directly under clothes hanging space - we were scared it was going to overheat and go on fire! and the room had no wine glasses or corkscrew - again i'd expect this in a room that has a patio for sitting out on. There are other hotels in the same area - book them - having a shady overlooked patio doesn't compensate for having a room that it is impossible to sleep in.

Fabulous place. Great location, safe and very comfortable
P.s. I don't understand why there are negative reviews on Tripadvisor. I don't think it's the same hotel it's really excellent, and I'm super fussy!

Bugs in rooms
Very close to the center of the town (restaurants, shopping malls, etc.).
The online check in is very practical because it saves you from the wait of normal check ins at receptions.
However, bugs have been found in multiple room. It is disgusting and should not happen.
Due to the bugs I wouldn’t really recommend this hotel because hygiene et the most important thing in hotels.
Excellent location
