Culinary experience in beautiful rural cultural environment

The food and drink was very high quality. Service knowledgeable, nice and caring. Surrounded incredibly beautiful. Their terrace has sun until sunset. The dining room, located in an old forge, was large, beautifully decorated, with a modern and open kitchen.

Amazing!

Saxå Bruk is the most beautiful place I have ever stayed in: carefully renovated historical buildings, tastefully decorated rooms which are even better in reality than they look from the photos. The location is excellent - only ca 300 hundred meters from the road no56. The breakfast room, which is the old chapel, was a cherry on the cake. We stayed at the "Workers House" which is ca 150 metres from the manor house. I was initially somewhat disappointed when I got this information, but when I saw the room (6A), full of antiques and view to the lake from all the windows, I was delighted. We enjoyed every minute there and regretted only that our stay was too short. Note: there is no internet at the Workers House. Although it did not bother us as the lake, nature and the whole place is so beautiful, and there is so much to explore but taking into account rather high price range, the internet connection is something you expect to have in your room.

Bra lunch

Besökte Saxå Bruk för 2 luncher under juli månad. Vi blev verkligen inte besvikna - fräsch sallad, fantastiska råvaror och goda smaker. Hit kommer vi tillbaka. (Restaurangen var även anpassad till Covid med gott om plats såväl inne som ute)

Fantastisk upplevelse

Vi var där i slutet av juli för en natt. Mycket fina rum, bodde i rum C3-4 som var perfekt för en hel familj. Det hade två separata sovrum med badrum, ett stort vardagsrum och ett litet kök och oslagbar utsikt mot sjön. Mycket god fyrarätters mat som ingick i priset. Dit ska vi åka igen!!!

Rogivande semester i Herrgårdsmiljö

Vi bokade ett rum för 2 dagar. 3 rätters middag ingick dag 2 då inte restaurangen hade öppnat när vi kom. Vi var ganska ensamma på herrgården första dagen och vi blev väl bemötta av Carl-Jan Granqvist och hans trevliga personal. Carl-Jan vill verkligen att alla gäster skall ha en fin upplevelse och han går runt och försäkrar sig om detta, väldigt trevligt. Saxå Herrgård är en väldigt trevlig och rogivande plats, där man kan strosa omkring på gräsmattorna, sitta nere vid sjön, bada och bara mysa - Härligt!.
Middagen serverades kl 19 och efter att Carl-Jan hade presenterat menyn, startade vi med en ansjovis snurra och champagne, fortsatte med en soppa, vaktel och efterrätt. Allt tillsammans med ett vinpaket som mestadels bestod av Carl-Jans "eget" vin, väldigt gott och trevligt.
Vi spelade också en runda golf på Saxå GK, där första Tee låg precis bredvid vårt boende, En trevlig bana i fin natur med bra kvalitet.
Rummen var mysiga med gammal inredning. Det enda som man kan tycka vore bra att ha , är en fläkt per rum, då det blir rätt varmt på natten.Visa färre
