Homey and all you need

I've stayed at this hostel 6 times now over the years for various things, but its consistently great. It is pretty basic, but the beds are comfortable, wifi is everywhere, and it's run by good people who treat you like family. Location is close to the Haad Rin pier and 5 min walk barely from the main beach so its close enough and far enough. convenience store across the street, atms and their own store plus amazing restaurant of the same name. You can rent bikes too. I'm not sure why people dont flock to this hostel and choose other "party" places, but it's just all around good and chill.

Would not recommend!

I stayed here with some friends for 4 nights over new year. There was dead cockroaches everywhere, the bathrooms are dirty and they smell bad. The room was dingy and some of the beds didn’t have plug sockets or lights which is very unhelpful when you’re sharing with other people. This is the most expensive hostel we’ve stayed in since we started travelling and it’s also the worst. The best thing about this hostel is the free tea and coffee.

Great hostel and motor bike rental

Stayed here for the full moon party and the few days after. Amazing vibe for the party with lots of music, face paint, drinking games etc. The few days after were great for chilling. We rented bikes from the hostel as well and this was really good fun. So easy and simple to rent and the staff at the hostel are super friendly and helpful. One of our friends was ill and a staff member took them to a near by clinic in the middle of the night. Would stay again for sure!

Rent scooter at your peril

We had a bad experience renting our scooter from this shop and do not recommend coming here.
- The bike is given to you with all the petrol siphoned off which he then makes you buy back at a higher rate before you have left the shop.
- Despite careful use the rear inner tube exploded due to wear and tear which we immediately had replaced. We were expected to pay for the cost despite our mechanic advising us of how badly the bike had been maintained (including both front and back breaks failing).
- From start to finish our interaction with staff was unpleasant and left us constantly feeling we would be ripped off. The member of staff we dealt with clearly did not know anything about motorbikes or how they are maintained, all he was interested in was his enormous list of ridiculously high prices for any damages. He was rude and unprofessional. When we stated we felt the service was unreasonable we were told that ‘this is Thailand’.
There are plenty of other places to rent a scooter from on this island, do not go here.

Perfect for the full moon party!

This hostel was great for the full moon party. They made sure guests felt safe and provided wrist bands to prevent non guests from entering. The lockers were good and the fact the room could be locked. On the night before the full moon party they provide a free dinner of curry which was honestly fantastic, they also own a restaurant on the strip so that would be worth checking out too! Staff are very friendly and helpful. The hostel provided free paint for the party and a free bucket (terribly weak though). Would definitely use again if going back to full moon party another year!
