Average is unfair!

Having travelled a bit in Uganda, there is always a bit of trepidation when exploring the ‘next’ hotel. What a relief, everything works! The rooms are clean and tidy with an en-suite where again everything works! Joy! The beds are firm and comfortable with mossie nets that work (mine did have one or two small holes - but that really is not unusual). We were here three night with room clean and towel change daily! Each room has a TV but I never cracked how to get a channel!
We got hooked on the curries - possibly the best ever. Cooked from scratch- they were superb!
The hotel when we stayed was busy - with a truly I international clientele, word must get around! However the hotel is extremely quiet at night!
The staff are extremely helpful to the point that you don’t have to ask for your key it is handed to you with a smile, when you get back.
So given it is slightly out of town - you will not be able to pop into town, but the plus side is that it is quiet and feels very secure, with 24 hour security.
It is above average which really must make it good!!

Clean, Budget friendly and helpful staff

Located in a quiet area of Tororo town, Kanfi offers a friendly option for a stay. The staff are friendly and helpful.
The rooms are budget friendly ranging from 45$ to 80$. Except for that annoying bed dressing of plastic cover that is intended for protecting the mattress.
The meals are affordable ranging from 8$. Please try their fresh Fish. The meals are a little oily but overall. It's okay.
If your traveling through to the eastern part of Uganda, it's worthwhile staying at Kanfi.
Found it interesting that their didn't know about trip advisor when I asked at reception.

The place is new and located in a residential part of Tororo town so it is quiet. Everything about the place is simple, more like a house. It is a place where you can have a stop over for one or two days. The Manager was very friendly and helpful. If you love Television you will get bored because I watched only one local channel for the two days. We called earlier to make a booking when we were about an hour away. It was possible to get a place because the hotel is not busy. Usually when I am new to a place I eat what I am sure is not spoilt so I ate chips and pan fried meat which tasted good. For breakfast you get fruits, juice, tea, eggs, bread/toast, instant coffee and tea, drinking chocolate, weetabix. The place is guarded by a security guard both day and night.

Prima hotel voor Oegandese begrippen

Hebben hier 2 nachten geslapen. Het is een eenvoudig hotel maar voor ons goed genoeg. Personeel is erg traag. Als groep van 16 personen een drankje bestellen is een kunst op zich. Lekker gegeten. Op ons eigen verzoek de tweede avond in buffetvorm omdat ze de eerste avond wel hele grote porties opdienden. Hotel ligt rustig. Is verder niets te beleven of te zien in de nabije omgeving. Kamers verschillen enorm. Wij hadden mooie ruime kamer voor 3 personen met grote kast en ventilator. Badkamer wederom simpel.
