Cheeky pint

My friend and I were visiting for the day so we stopped by for a drink.With me not being a big drinker it was recommended by the lady behind the bar. They said they were new and made a very good impression. They soon came over and took our details.Felt very safe. Nice friendly pub and I'll definitely visit again the next time I'm in Ashbourne.

Hate outsiders

Stood at the bar for 5 minutes, 3 staff standing around chatting. Totally ignored us tried smiling but it was obvious that as outsiders we were not welcomed. Walked out and saw a fight outside the Swan Pub - So decided to go into the Greenman and the Bank with excellent service. We will go back in there again and see what response we get next time. We are easily intimated but poor customer service.

Town Square Pub

Called here for a drink before leaving the town after our walk around, the pub was empty but the two young girls told us it would be heaving later that evening because the England Euro football semi final was live on TV.
The two girls were very friendly and chatted to us whilst we had our beers after which we set off back to our accommodation. Nothing to complain about, worth visiting if you are in the area.

Would not recommend

Booking cancelled had to rebook at increased prices. Old buildings no soundproofing and open till 1 am. No pub parking just general in market square, so be aware of market day. Have to be out by 10Am no breakfast. Kept awake until 2 by noise outside. Rooms ok. Doors no warnings of bumping head on closing bars. Would not recommend

OK Pub in Ashbourne centre

Small pub that serves a town square with competition on both sides, it could probably do with a refurbishment as it looked slightly tacky. Staff were friendly enough, the wine was god awful and tbh the other pubs looked better. The staff were friendly enough but if I went back to Ashbourne I’d try somewhere else.
