We love it here. The local area and surrounds are stunning. The hotel and grounds are lovely, the rooms have comfy beds and pillows. The staff are very warm, friendly and efficient and the food onsite, very delicious. Thank you for another wonderful stay.

Absolutely shocking hotel stay
They can’t even get the basics correct
When I requested a simple egg omelette I was denied
Bleach cleaning products left in my room
Blood stained bed linen
Coffee and sugar mess that I made in the morning was not touched or cleaned
Room temperature set at 23!!! I told reception that it was too hot and I could t sleep and I was told that was the ambient setting and I could t change it
The restaurant manager David should not be allowed in public, never mind a hospitality job role. As he’s useless and all the breakfast staff team were just as incompetent
Claire Neeve and Owen saved any little enjoyment we had on our stay, but I won’t be returning ever

Lovely hotel and staff were first class. I would rate a 5*, but for two things:
-No air conditioning in the bedrooms in the main hotel. I believe this is planned at some stage.
- we had the snug room on the top floor. Lovely room and big bathroom. But it had 4 velux windows and so no view. Not a major problem as we only stayed for a short 2 night break. However the real problem was at night, when heavy rain made us feel we were in a drum. So sleep deprived both nights.
It is worth paying a bit more for a room on the first or second floors.

The bedroom was immaculate and the breakfast was great, faultless. The area that could be improved is in the spa, and more specifically the restaurant attached. There is a clear issue with staffing, not enough and very new ones not being prepared. During my spa 'experience' I was sent into the restaurant to then be ignored for a good 30 minutes. The one girl in there was apparently not aware me and others were waiting to order food. When it came, the £20 udon noodle 'main' was literally just noodles with a few bits of red chilli and about 1 runner bean. No protein at all. You get £25 to use on the offer, tricky to cover a decent meal and a drink with this. Spa loungers were reserved for you with a little name tag, but had soaked coverings from previous guests. Already looking tired. No staff poolside if you want to order a hot drink etc (there used to be when it first re opened). I felt sorry for the girl in the restaurant, she said it was her first day. She didn't seem to have a clue. Bad service and a lack of it let's the spa down. Crazy when so much has been invested initially in refurb

Lovely spa stay. Rooms clean and well kept. 2 restaurants, both a bit pricy for the quality of the food. Food was good, but not so good I'd be back for the food alone at that price. Spa treatments were excellent, but again definitely on the higher side. If you don't book directly with the hotel they add an extra £45 per person to use the spa for 2 hours!! It is a great place, but unfortunately I feel like they're trying to claim back the money they have invested into the hotel too hard and too quickly. It's a bit obvious with the high price points and extra charges which makes it all a little less appealing for me to return. Also if i'm paying £18 for a cocktail, I don't expect the bartender to tell me he has never made a margarita before!
