Lunch as a couple during our holidays

Lunch at Hotel Restaurant Central
Very friendly welcome, the dishes are homemade, all with the smile of the boss and cook , fast service and Competitive Award.
If we go back not far we will come back
If not to discover...

Bad experience

Hotel that has nothing of a 3 star, freezing cold, no heating and no additional solution proposed. Good quality evening meal. Breakfast served in room with tray deposited the day before of poor quality under vacuum, without butter etc. because usually served from 9am and not before... Complement given for the next day and tray not cleared of the day before, cleaning not made of the room.
I won’t go back....

Tradition is good!!

This review only concerns the restaurant, we went there with friends on the occasion of the cork des biels.
Very friendly and warm welcome despite a very large attendance due to the event.
Traditional but good cuisine, hearty plate, very good contact.
It's nice to be more than a credit card.

Wonderful!

We booked here for 4 nights while we house hunted in the area. Our room was huge and very clean.
The owners are lovely and speak wonderful English (and French, German, Spanish). They made us feel right at home from the start.
Breakfast was a lovely affair, taken in the restaurant/bar. Fresh coffee made by Jean Phillipe who would tell us about the history of the hotel and the area, while we helped ourselves to very tasty pastries, yoghurts, meats, cereals etc.
There isn't much in the area unless you want to drive so we had our evening meal there on the second night. I'm so glad we did! The food was delicious, the wine was flowing and a good night sleep was ensured. We ate there each night after that and enjoyed everything.
If we find ourselves in the area again, we would most definitely stay there again.

Exceeded expectation

Architecturally beautiful exterior. Clean room. Friendly and helpful. Chef, amazing. The best Entrecôte in the Charente. I would use this hotel again to visit the region. Wonderful rural setting too within the most delightful fields of sunflowers.
