Good...
Great location, very close to the central market and convenient for exploring the area.
The beds were extremely firm—more like sleeping on a very thin mattress placed on a wooden board than a traditional hotel bed.
The floors are made of concrete, which can feel cold, but it is understandable as a practical choice for easier cleaning and maintenance.

Patronage
I normally do have a good time at the Pacific Hotel. The first 2 stays were one night each a week following the other week. 3rd week 2 nights and the last week 3 nights. Reception friendly and polite however after the 2nd stay they would let me check in 2 hours earlier so was the last one. On this last stay the night shift receptionist, Sousidei who recognised me was very helpful to change my room. The following morning asked if I slept well. At the Cafe they too were really nice. I am writing this because of this from your email "looking forward to your patronage..." an early checkin isn't too much to ask, is it?

Phenomenal Phnom Phen
What a great location and a lovely hotel. Good breakfast , nice coffee. Knowledgeable and friendly staff. Comfortable rooms . Location is a very short tuk tuk ride from the river front , the grand palace , the night market etc. good size rooms , comfy beds , clean bathrooms. Nice balcony space on each floor.

The two front staff, young women, were professional and exceptional hosts. Breakfast was good. Clean room and quiet even though my room overlooked a busy street. Good location.

Check-in was a very unpleasant experience that I wouldn’t wish on anyone arriving at a hotel in the evening.
My friend was refused accommodation on the grounds that the ID was in the old format.
A few weeks earlier, in the same situation, this had not caused any problems. On the same trip, there were no issues at the other hotels.
An attempt to contact the manager was met with contempt.
We therefore had to find another hotel in a hurry.
We had three more nights booked; we tried to get a refund for all four nights via hotels.com: unsuccessful. So, we had to book another hotel, incurring further costs.
A written request for clarification was sent to management – the response boiled down to: you should be aware of Cambodian regulations. I did not ask for written proof of this rigid adherence to detail; Khmer is a delicate language…
The hotelier’s trade is hospitality; putting people who have booked and paid out on the street is disgraceful.
To return to the regulations, the management does not apply the same strictness when the stakes are incomparably higher.
The hotel’s only staircase is therefore the emergency staircase. And before reaching the exit, it leads in the corridor of the kitchen, the main source of fire outbreaks.
Better still, there is a door in this corridor with a latch fitted on the outside. Welcome in case of emergency.
The good news : warm water and AC (noisy but working).
