BAD WEEKEND IN PARIS
I even paid before the deadline that was proposed by the site. I receive confirmation of payment and subsequent receipt.
On the day we arrive at the hotel, the gentleman at reception explains that (in addition to not understanding the type of room we had booked) we would have to pay an extra €260 per room for Agoda platform fees.
I had to try to understand what taxes they were because the gentleman did not speak Italian but only Spanish, obviously French and a little English (when the site was also present the Italian language). He also tells me that I have to call this platform to get a refund of this amount that obviously I had to pay first without yet understanding what it was.
My travel companions and I obviously refuse and reserve a moment to call. I try somehow to get in touch with some difficulties, but luckily I get assistance from a very nice girl who tells me not to have to pay anything as the price was incorrect at the time of booking. This communication was given to you directly by the gentleman of the hotel who told us nothing.
Obviously, since we cannot afford to run out of hotels in Paris even with a 14-year-old boy following us, we are offered three more hotels at the same initial price.
We accept one, go back to the hotel and take our luggage away without even saying goodbye. Before I go out the gentleman calls me asking if we have solved it, I turn around and do not answer.
Too bad, the hotel would boast a good location but unfortunately dishonesty sometimes pays off.
