Amazing place with clean rooms but small inconsistencies
Cons - The inconsistencies are very annoying. One breakfast got declined on one card due to reaching a contactless limit and was taken off the original payment card instead. Upon check out, we were told we still owed this money and had to dispute!
The food is amazing but the inconsistencies with portions in the restaurant is bizarre. One day you order bread and you get 2 slices. The next you order bread and you get 4 and charged 4 times the amount although ordering one portion.
The room is INCREDIBLY hot. The air con isn’t great and due to there being no fresh air flow it gets hot very quickly. The staff however were very happy to get us a fan which solved the issue quickly and greatly.
Overall, the ethos of the place and the decor and the room itself was amazing and I would still rate it a 4 star trip. It was just a few little niggles that let it down. But I would definitely recommend to others and would use again myself!

Thank you for your kind words!
Having someone like him can make all the difference. I get how those inconsistencies with the restaurant and the payment could throw you off, especially when everything else felt so spot-on. Glad the fan helped with the heat, though!
Hope your next stay is even smoother.
Cheers,
Nina

Not a bad stay

That sounds frustrating, no one wants to feel like they're getting mixed messages, especially when it comes to charges. I wish things had been clearer for you.
Hope the rest of your stay made up for it.
Cheers,
Nina

Always a pleasure
The rooms are quirky, as is the entire building being a reclaimed Church. If you do have accessibility needs, do make sure you tell them WHEN BOOKING as some of the rooms (if you're shorter like me) you do have to throw yourself onto the beds (as they are quite high).
Staff are always around; I only ever needed them for advice about how to get places etc as everything else was excellent. I originally stayed in a Pod, but found it was too busy for me and upgraded to a Standard room (best idea) before finishing with a holiday treat of an Epic Room Plus.
The hotel is always clean; even the cleaning staff will smile and say hello, all togehter a wonderful place to say. Also, the Dinosaur in the Enterance is very friendly; just don't leave him with any soft toys ... he may think they are chew toys.

Upgrading from the Pod to the Standard room sounds like it made all the difference for your stay. That leap onto the bed definitely paints a picture! And I love that you found the dinosaur in the entrance as friendly as the team. He’s got a bit of a reputation for those soft toys.
Hope your next visit brings even more fun surprises.
Cheers,
Nina
