Room cleaning.

The hotel is centrally located, the rooms are good, and the breakfast is adequate. What they should inform when making the reservation is that room cleaning is done every 2 days; in 4 days, it was done only once. This is something I believe should be known before booking.

Decent Two Star

First the positives: Good location. Very clean. Very quiet. Good breakfast. Great WiFi. Comfortable bed and room. A fan kept the room cool in May. Good sleep.
But there are some negatives.
The bed linen was a bit threadbare.
The safe was key, rather than code, operated.
They make it clear that “for stays of three nights or more, cleaning is every two days”. Totally fine with me. We were there three nights. But our room wasn’t serviced the third day. Fortunately, we came back before Reception closed at 22:00 so we could get fresh towels.
It would be a 4 but for that.

Quiet neighborhood, convenient!

The Pension Wild is in a quiet neighborhood, convenient to public transit. There’s a good, but not fancy, breakfast included. People are all very nice and helpful. We find it an ideal place to stay in Vienna. It’s not fancy (no fridge or kettle in the room, for example) but really the atmosphere is very comfortable. Reasonably priced for the big city.

Scam

We had a flight to Serbia on 08.02. , in the morning at 6.35. The receptionist called a taxi service on Saturday 07.02. around 10 am, but the taxi driver cheated us. The receptionist on Saturday told us that a taxi to the Vienna airport would cost 41 euros and we accepted, but we were cheated because the taxi driver who arrived on Sunday morning at 4.30 in front of the hotel charged us 60 euros instead of 41 euros. We asked him did receptionist from hotel called him and he keept saying yes and that it is different price, 41 euros was written and additional 18 euros for return to Vienna. He written by the pen 60 euros for taxi drive. Eventhough I told him that we are not returning to Vienna, we are leaving the country he kept saying 60 euros and he ripped us off. Be aware of this.

Good hotel in a great location.

Overall the stay at this property was pleasant.
I would improve some aspects such as the cleanliness of the room as there were several cobwebs and spaces such as stairs that appeared not in the best way.
The room we were allocated was very large if a bit cold (considering also that the days when my partner and I stayed in Vienna, the temperatures were really cold).
The staff was friendly and helpful.
The costs are great for the proposal offered.
The breakfast was decent, I would improve the latter by adding something more on the sweet side and maybe make coffee, cappuccino etc. available.
But overall I recommend it.
