Bright - Coach House Inn

Ahhhh, just when you need to relax, you come across the Coach House Inn where the staff bend over backwards to assist you to check in early.
The room, look, it is basic however, really, what else do you need aside from a comfortable bed, a TV, hot shower and peace?
This place has it all.

An Oldy but Goody - in the middle of town

I have just spent three days in Bright and it's surrounds and happy i picked The Coach House Inn to stay. From the minute i arrived when i was greeted by a friendly manager that showed took me straight to my room.. She quickly explained where the amenities were, with the invaluable laundry after a number of days on the road (I wasn't sure if there was a laundry so had checked here if Bright had a Coin Laundrette - according to reviews, it does, with one reviewer saying their washing and drying cost over THIRTY dollars - my one load cost five bucks, washed and dried!). I ended up in a family room even though i am solo this trip due to availability, with no extra charge. The "Inn" is 'older style', with some places in need of a lick of paint but this does not affect the stay. If you are needing a shiny big marble bathroom this probably isn't the place for you, but if you are after a spotlessly clean room with a comfortable bed, a reverse cycle air con that is toasty warm and great facilities right in the middle of town then this is for you - I reckon it must be the best value in town. This family room has a table with four chairs, microwave, kitchen sink, a separate bedroom with two single beds and a COMFORTABLE King sized bed (I AM fussy when it comes to beds). Cups, crockery and cutlery for four. When lounging around reading i had the choice of tables and chairs outside in the colorful leafy court yard or inside on a beautiful leather Chesterfield Lounge or comfortable arm chair. If I was to return to Bright in the future with the wife and 15yo i would definitely book this room. I can very much recommend the "Coach House Inn".

Just don't.

Even though it might be cheap there are reasons for this. There is no dedicated parking spaces. The room was not serviced daily and it stunk. the fridge did not work after the first day. I could not find any staff on site. Very unsatisfactory experience.

The location was great!

The location was in a prime area. We were in walking distance to almost everything!. The room was very clean. Okay i can live if the room does not get clean everyday, however I would expect clean towels at least every second day, no clean towels were supplied. We only received a small carton of milk, biscuits on arrival that was it. The hot water tap did not work in the bathroom area. It made a constant loud noice when you open the tap, needless to say I hate washing my face in cold water. Also there is no undercover parking, but they do have some designated area available for parking.

Never again

We paid over $400 for 2 night, and to find out that we had no hot water in the winter time. Was not something you wanted after a whole day at the snow. We were ask to use another units shower, and the husband would come and have a look, which he never did. The front door was hard to open. The wardrobe door was broke. Someone’s shoes were left under the bed heater didn’t warm the unit, shower screen shaking when on the toilet, floor uneven, beds hard as a rock. I wouldn’t paid more than $70 a night for this place.
