Excellent hotel on a great beach.

it takes quite a while to get to this hotel from Canada. but it was definitely worth it.
on arrival late evening arrival after a long trip, we were greeted by a bi-lingual (english/spanish) gentleman that assisted us. there is free self parking, it is just very limited. (maybe 6 small vehicles).
front desk staff was very accommodating even though i was quite testy (over 24 hours of travel and not reading up on the property in advance leads to me being a grumpy old man).
we were assisted to our room on the 2nd floor. the elevator was fast and super quiet (it gets super warm inside it during the day but it's speed makes it worth it). The room was clean and exactly as described. We requested the use of the refrigerator which they quickly accomodated. the only complaints about the room would be that the air conditioner got quite loud after running it for many hours.
the on site restaurant had great food, pricing was higher than expected but it is a more expensive area of Ecuador and the quality of the food and the service that accompanied it made it worth it. Breakfast was included in our stay and was fantastic. Our favourite was the Americano breakfast (eggs, croissants and coffee).
Ezzio's Pizza is also onsite and worth a quick mention as their Montanito pizza is extremely good.
the beach was clean and spectacular. we would definitely return to the Dharma Beach Hotel.

Lee las reseñas antes de perder tiempo y dinero

Sara is too young. To charge $115 a day, you can afford someone with experience.. We were planning on staying here for a This week, I noticed that the staff didn’t understand Spanish when I asked about the menu. I requested one item, but they gave me two instead. The prices are a bit high, so I recommend reading the reviews or stopping by for a simple drink to see if it’s worth it. There are many safe and affordable places to stay in Olon and montañita.

Great stay at Dharma Beach hotel. Hotel was right on the very clean beach, with nice walks along the beach to the cliffs and south to other towns, lots of water activity options there and a short walk to the many restaurants and bars in town

Looks good outside, but not cosy inside at all. The breakfast was “included”, but we ended up paying for that. Was a lot of confusion about it. Problems with water running, with hot water. Wasn’t pleasurable experience at all. Staff wasn’t qualified to address all the issues.

Slow internet and slow hot water

I had a beach view in the fourth floor. I couldn’t get internet sitting on the bed, I had to go downstairs to write this review! It is very slow and not reliable. Also, I was told that to get hot water in my room I should let the water run for 15 minutes! Aren’t we in a drought? The staff was excellent and the location was great. I travelled solo and felt safe my entire stay. However, if internet and hot water is important to you, pick somewhere else.
