Decent hotel located at the heart of the town

Assiutel is nice small hotel located close to almost all downtown landmarks
The rooms is relatively small comparing to other three stars hotels in Egypt yet it is clean and well maintained
The hotel is facing the great river bank with nice view from its sixth floor where the restaurant and cafe is located

A very nice stay in a crowded city

Few meters from a very nice 19th century palace, With an European look on the Nile river bank lays this hotel with a very clean room, sheath, and bathroom. The curtains, plastic floor and inside decor of a poor taste did not take much from the coziness of the spacious room and its wonderful view.
Amazingly you will be able to find beer in their rooftop cafeteria. It was so unfortunate that the first floor lodge restaurant is under renovation, hopefully they’ll preserve its very essence. Overall, if we consider the helpful, down to earth and smiley front disc officials, guess Assuitel is the recommendation if you ever went to Assiut.

The only place in Assiut to have a beer.

It is the only place I know where you can have a beer in a bar in Assiut. Normally quite empty, As located in the top floor in the summer hot as they do not use the air conditions if you not ask for. Nice view to the Nile.

the hotel was OK,
i didn't like the breakfast,
the location was good.
i liked that they called to make sure that we get our breakfast,
the prices is overrated.
the reception service was good and they were helpful.

Best service

We spent one night at Assiutel in Asyut. Our room was rather small, but clean and everything was OK. We found the price was rather expensive for a siple room (we paid 300 EP for our room), but you don't have much choice in Asyut. Before we left we asked about a church in Asyut and they gave us a driver with car who took us there, spent some time there, took us to an ATM... After the ride I was wondering how much were we going to be charged. To our surprise the man smiled and he took no money from us. Anyway, Asyut is a great basis to explore nearby archaelogical sites like Hermopolis or Tuna el-Gabel (on the same river side as Asyut) and Tell Amarna, Antinopolis, Beni Hassan (on the other river side as Asyut). We actually visited those places from Mallawi because that city was closer to the sites and spent the night there, but we wouldn't recommend our hotel (Semiramis Hotel) to anyone.
