Nice hotel, good location

The hotel is very central with the old town around the corner. Everything tiptop renovated ... a bit clairvoyant. Breakfast offers everything your heart desires and there is also a small shop with wine and treats. It is highly recommended to visit the in-house winery with a guided cellar tour (easy to reach by bus in the next town ‘Ernst’)

Toilets in the basement is so not clean.

Unbearable is in the room very dry.Climate not pleasant. Unfortunately is also poor wifi reception.
Breakfast is .
Kettle in the room is missing.

Bitter/sweet

We chose this hotel by googling hotels in various towns on our route back to the uk.
Unusual is an understatement.
It is very old and in parts this shows not in the best way.
For example there is a high quite treacherous spiral staircase to the rooms and no lift.
There is a very old Coca Cola vending machine in the reception area which can be heard everywhere including the bedrooms and it is LOUD!
Rather like having a train in the building.
The walls in the rooms are paper thin.
The most outstanding thing was the linen on the beds hadn’t been ironed, it was clean but crumpled, extraordinary.
On the plus side the food was excellent and the staff too.

Only for small people

We booked last Minute and got room 19 - the good is you can sleep when sitting on the toilet but if you a bit larger then you can’t get onto the loo
Despite the heat the room had a good temperature - remember there are bars in the neighbourhood and perhaps there are some drunk people around

Great Location and Staff

Stayed overnight on recent motorcycle trip On arrival receptionist (possibly the "old lady" referred to in previous posts) was very welcoming and sorted out secure storage for our motorcycles. We then went through he check in procedure which was trouble free. The rooms were not the largest but at the price we paid and for 1 night were great. The rooms at the front have terrific views and worth the extra money. The room was clean and breakfast had great choice.
