A very special little hotel
Breakfast was a joy, fresh bread, ham and eggs, Greek yoghurt and lovely homemade marmalade, jam and cake, made by the lovely Poppy.
Vassili was always around if you needed him, covering reception and full of information.
A traditional Greek hotel, run by a lovely friendly family and ideal for a base to visit Ithaka

Stay far away!!!
Our reservation, which was made months in advance via Booking, was cancelled by Lazaretto less than 24 hours prior to check-in!!!
When we approached the owner in person at Lazaretto Palace, he treated us with arrogance and cold indifference, declining any kind of responsibility.
When we asked what the reasons for the cancellation were, he claimed that the room had been flooded, but when we asked to see it, he refused. I suspect the cancellation was driven by other motives, considering that during our time at the reception, seven other people checked in. They revealed to us that they had booked their stay just the day before—coincidentally, the very day our reservation was cancelled
Fortunately, we managed to book another property—the only one available in mid-August - at a much higher price than budgeted, but we had no other choice!!!
It's a shame because the property itself is beautiful and in a good position, but this kind of management risks ruining your holiday, just like it did to ours!
Don't take the risk!!!

Great Vathy stay
Very clean, with all the amenities including a small swimming pool.
The owner Vassili is extremely nice and willing to help in any way.
We hope to be back soon! Ciao from iTALY

Clean, Comfortable, Convenient & Great Staff!
The owners/staff/hosts were exceptionally welcoming and accommodating ! I had made an error with booking (my stay was for August but I accidentally booked for September!) when I arrived at the hotel without a booking, the front desk made sure to make appropriate arrangements so that we would not have to scramble for another place to stay! We cannot wait to visit again , and would of course be staying at Lazareto Palace !
