In the heart of the Old Town with a balcony like an opera box for the nightly promenade!

We loved Agrigento where Andrea Camilleri (who wrote the Montalbano series) grew up not to mention Luigi Pirandello the Italian dramatist, novelist and poet. Not to be missed is the fabulous Valley of the Temples nearby - I am told you cannot see better condition temples even in Greece.
Al Vicoletto is a great place to stay with a superb location, very helpful management with spacious well kept rooms.

Great value

The Al Vicoletto is a small hotel right in the center of Agrigento. The rooms are quite nice, clean and equipped with everything a traveler needs. The hotel does not offer breakfast, but there is a cafe just around the corner. The owners are very nice and helpful. It’s great location and the very fair prices make it a good choice for an overnight in Agrigento. Why not 5 stars? Only small things, nothing important enough to call out.

Terrible experience! Unfair and rude owner!

Forget about this place if you want a relaxed holiday! After facing some issues along the road, we arrived with two kids at 20:22 and tried to call all the available phone numbers without success. Even with WhatsApp, the owner was online but refused to see and reply my messages. Some other guests and the nice guy from the restaurant downstairs tried to contact him as well but not even the "emergency" number worked. We gave up after two hours and found another hotel for the night.
The following morning we finally went to Al Vicoletto, aiming to stay there at least for the second night. Surprisingly enough, the owner did not let us in, started screaming at us and even called the police! He said we should have been there no later than 19:30. He did not accepted to reimburse a cent and kept the whole payment for 2 rooms, 2 nights! I felt stolen 296 euros!
Needless to say that someone who works with tourists should be more flexible than waiting for less than 1 hour for delayed guests. Last but not least, the bad mannered owner does not speak or understand a word in English.
Forget about this place and try any of the other nice B&Bs around unless you accept to fully comply with the curfew and other absolute strict laws of this crazy owner!

Lovely classy apartment

Very central off a main shopping street. Lovely apartment with shared living room and dining kitchen. Bedroom was comfortable although bathroom starting to show signs of damp. Owner was helpful and unobtrusive.

Cosy B&B

This B&B/apartment is fantastic, as it offers spacious rooms together with a nice bathroom. Centrally located on the Via Atenea, the staff was friendly, and Carmelo offered to give us a cheaper ride to the Scala Dei Turchi, which ended up being very easy to get to. There are good restaurants nearby as well!
