Friendly Service and pleasant stay

I felt completely comfortable in this hotel room. The room was clean, tastefully decorated and provided everything you need for a relaxing stay. I would particularly like to highlight the staff – consistently friendly, attentive and always helpful. You really felt like you were welcome.
The location of the hotel was also convenient, and despite central surroundings pleasantly quiet. Overall a successful stay, which I gladly recommend.

Two good night at the foot of Grossglockner

After the warm reception by the hotel staff I could park my bike in a dedicated bike/ski room and go directly to my single room with balcony. The next day I could just walk in 5 minutes on a footpath directly to the village center with the famous church, supermarket and bus stop for Grossglockner. Breakfast was good, too.

Pleasant stay

Good size room and bathroom with a balcony overlooking the mountains. Basic with towels but no toiletries, comfy bed. Breakfast was buffet of rolls, cheeses, hams, cereals and yoghurt. Pleasant and friendly hosts .

Beautiful place to stay!

This was absolutely one of our favorite stops on our European adventure. We drove over the Grossgluckner pass on the way to Italy from Austria. Most beautiful drive. It was snowy at first so we couldn't see much for the first half but then it cleared up and we got perfect views of the glacier. The hosts were wonderful and the view from the balcony is stunning. We went to a restaurant down the hill and a little bar in the town and it was so quaint and wonderful. Breakfast was a traditional European breakfast and was perfect. I could have stayed here an entire week! Highly recommended!

Very good accomodation for Großglockner passing/visiting

We stayed here for 2 weekends on the way to Italy. The original plan was just for one stop, but we ended up for another one. First time we had the Großglocknerblick apartment which is huge (~100mp), the second time the Trojer groß which is a little bit tight compared to the other one. In Großglocknerblick you have a big fully equiped kitchen, a big connected livingroom and a great balcony that comes with a view of the Großglockner. The Trojer groß is also quite spatious, the only problem was the kitchen, a bit small and more like a hallway. The location is perfect for crossing the Großglockner Alpine Road, which is just nearby, but one doesn't hear the cars and motorcycles.
Didn't eat there, so no idea upon that. WLAN is free of charge, but the signal is not good overall.
A good reason for our return was also the fact that if you stay at least 2 nights you pay just 10€ toll (instead of 33€) for crossing the Großglockner Alpine Road and you get a pass valid for 15 days, so you can enjoy the road not just by crossing it, but by visiting the glacier and all the exhibitions on the way. You have also other facilities with the Kärnten card you receive, i.e: free pool nearby (strange opening hours though), reductions for Gletscherbahn etc.
Overall, I would recommend it for a stay wether just crossing the Großglockner or a few days or relaxing nearby.
