Charming.....

I was at the Sonnhof for a week with my hiking group and found it to be charming with a welcoming owner and staff. My room was perfect... with TV, a lovely bathroom, strong Wi-Fi and a view looking down the hill with the alps beyond. The food was very good, especially breakfast. What fun waking early and wandering the streets to the pastry shop, sitting outside with my coffee, taking in the cool air and mountain backdrop and Neustift's citizens passing by.

Super holiday!

Just returned from a super holiday staying at this hotel for 2 weeks.
The Sonnhof is a very well maintained traditional hotel with modern facilities. It's really well run by Peter and his team, all of whom are friendly and welcoming.
Our room was on the 4th floor with a superb view of the glacier and, although in the village centre, very quiet. Food was excellent with a mix of traditional Austrian and Italian fare with a variety of other cuisines which kept it all very interesting. Having advised Peter of dietary restrictions at the start of the holiday he ensured there were always options for me. This was much appreciated, as was the best gluten free bread I've ever tasted! Not available in UK sadly!
Very impressed with the Sonnhof and hope to return next year.

We recommend!

The Sonnhof team, led by the Pfurtscheller family, goes to great lengths to make their guests' stay as pleasant as possible. The variety and deliciousness of the breakfast and dinner buffets in the cozy Tyrolean dining rooms leave nothing to be desired. The cleanliness and order throughout the house are exemplary. An absolute wow effect occurs when you immerse yourself in the elegant wellness area with a round two-story columned hall and starry sky above the large whirlpool. However, all guests except us ignored the nude rule and even sat in the whirlpool and saunas in bathing suits. It is only a few steps from the bus stop - which connects Neustift with Innsbruck and the Stubai Glacier every half hour - to the Sonnhof. This means that you don't need your own car here, especially since you can travel by train and bus through all of North and East Tyrol with a cheap VVT weekly ticket, including transit through South Tyrol.

Perfect

Very nice hotel. Rooms are comfortable warm and quiet. There is balcony with a nice view. Excellent breakfast. Central location. The staff and the hotel owners are very kind. 20 minutes to cable car. There is private parking at the entrance. Strongly recommend.

Excellent stay

10 of us came here to stay after having to leave Italy quickly. The hotel owner was at reception to greet us on arrival, he was very friendly and helpful giving us all the information on the hotel plus details of the ski resorts and bus times. The rooms were a really good size very clean ours had a balcony looking up the valley to the glacier and with a very comfortable bed. Breakfast had a buffet with an excellent choice, dinner was fabulous with a salad buffet, choice of starter, choice between 3 main courses, desert and cheese, everything we ate was delicious. I didn't use the spa area but those that did said it was really good. The ski bus took about 25/30 minutes to get to the Glacier resort and 15 minutes to Schlick2000 both were good. Would love to come again in the summer as there looked to be loads of walking routes.
