Good hotel in not such a good location
However, breakfast closes at 8:45 am so you need to be sharp if you want some eggs!
None of the rooms have air conditioning but that is okay for the evening temp in Popayan. You get one towel per person (don't bother asking for extra towels), and a bottle of liquid soap.
What do you expect for the price you are paying?
The hotel is clean and the staff are very pleasant.
Ok, now the negative! The hotel is not a great part of town. It isn't surrounded by short stay hotels and of an evening you will see street walkers; women and men.
I would not walk around this areas after the sun goes down.
All in all, I would still recommend it, if you are careful. Cannot be the price, and cleanliness is a huge factor. Just do not turn right, when you leave the hotel.

Nice new hotel
The hotel is in an area close to town, but not entirely safe. We got a taxi into town.
The rooms are brand new and very clean. However, the owners need to add some way of hanging towels, or at least a coat.
The design looks good; but I wouldn't have thought it a good idea to have an indoor ground floor car park open to the hotel. During breakfast upstairs someone downstairs was revving an engine and we could smell the fumes!
The breakfast area was otherwise lovely, and the simple, freshly-prepared breakfast was great.

Nice modern hotel.
Location is good for exploring the old town. We weren't feeling up to eating out so ordered a pizza. Staff were helpful in directing the delivery girl up to our room.
Breakfast was tasty.
Our stay was also very good value for money, costing around £20 GBP for the room and breakfast for two people. Can't go wrong with that!
