Disappointing Scandic
Let’s start with the positive:
The breakfast is really good and it is definitely recommended to buy this one. In addition, we were greeted by incredibly talented staff in the restaurant, but also among the cleaning.
Now to the less positive:
The room seemed very worn. The curtain was stuck in ropes, the floors were clearly damaged, and the bunk bed was in such poor condition that the mattresses were completely worn down. They were so thin and worn that you almost lay directly on the tree floor, which definitely did not give a pleasant night's sleep.
However, the most worrying was the hotel’s pool area. A lamp in the pool was no longer fixed, but hung loosely with wires visible. In my opinion, this constituted a serious safety risk. When we made the staff aware of the problem, we were told that they already knew about it and that the maintenance department had been informed more than three weeks ago. Nevertheless, nothing had yet been done about the problem.
It is difficult to understand that a potential safety risk in a pool area can be corrected for so long. The combination of the worn facilities and the failure to handle a serious maintenance problem left a very disappointing impression.
This is a pity as the hotel has a great potential, but there is clearly a need for both renovation and a much faster handling of errors and security issues.

Never again Scandic…..
Furthermore, many had done like us and arrived a little too early and what happened, massive queue at 10.00. 16:00, we got access to our room much later. The room was nice and the receptionist was friendly and professional in every way. What happened to the watchword in the hotel industry “hospitalety” as I said never again Scandic…
