Recommended hotel on the outskirts of Salzburg.

The hotel is somewhat outside the city, which makes traveling by car more convenient. The house not only looks neat and well-kept, but the people working there were also courteous and warm. I felt very comfortable. The room was very good, nothing extraordinary but solid, clean, functional, and thus appealing.
On Sundays, the restaurant was or is closed, so I could only enjoy breakfast the next morning. And it was indeed a pleasure, both visually and culinarily. The arrangement was very decorative, they work there with jars. However, one quickly has a considerable number of the same at the table.
So, a very good hotel on the outskirts of Salzburg, ideal for exploring Salzburg from there or for an overnight stay.

Great tip for Salzburg tourists.

A quiet family-run hotel that surprises its guests with loving details (lounge, bike shed, furnished terrace). The Zeif family offers a super friendly service with their staff in the hotel and restaurant. Breakfast is prepared fresh with regional products. I would gladly come back!
The train station is reachable by car in five minutes. This makes Oedhof a great alternative for those interested in Salzburg.

What a surprise!

We chose the hotel because it is close to the Salzburg Trade Fair and because of the something to eat in the evening....
We ate the menu carpaccio from bread dumplings. Foam soup from wild beef fillet and for dessert a cream and an ice cream with lemon notes
We loved the quality of the ingredients and the cooking. All wonderfully simple without the kitchen make up that is often found today. Magical service reserved and competent. Always there.
And the sommelier! So much competence and sovereignty presented so finely.
We're not exaggerating. We're going back there.

Friendly, family-run house

The reception by the manager of the house was very friendly. The single room with shower and toilet was simply furnished, quietly located on the courtyard side; the bed was comfortable. Unfortunately there was dust on the wardrobe and on the door closer; the ceiling spotlights in the bathroom were also a bit dusty and covered in cobwebs. When I pointed this out to the chambermaid the next morning, she apologized and when I returned in the afternoon, everything was as clean as one would expect.
The breakfast in the hotel is excellent and well-stocked; nothing is missing.
The evening meal in the hotel restaurant was very tasty, but expensive: the normal price for a Barlach asparagus risotto is 24.00 euros (16.00 euros with guest discount). A glass of house red wine costs 7.10 euros (that's a conservative estimate of at least 7 times the purchase price).
All in all, however, a hotel that is definitely worth recommending.

Optimal

Excellent hotel structure. Very clean, welcoming, rooms without any defects. Excellent breakfast both sweet and savory. I love homemade granola as well as jam. Very good welcome. Certainly worth considering since Salzburg is 10 minutes away by train from Freilassing. Optimal. The attached restaurant is of excellent quality and the staff who manage the hotel are super professional... top!! thank you
