This accommodation is located in the center of Mannheim, just a few minutes walk from the main train station and the Rosengarten Congress Center.

Highly recommended
We felt completely at home, very friendly staff, everything very, very clean. Rooms at the back were absolutely quiet, kitchenette very practical and well-equipped; very good location, everything quickly accessible (main station, culture, shops, public transport). We would be happy to come back.

Small room and noise from nearby club
I usually try different locations in Mannheim when visiting my companies HQ, chose the GuestHouse this time as I liked the idea of a studio. Also, the location is excellent in the center and close to the train station.
First disappointment was the size of the room. The pictures on booking.com are not the regular rooms, see the pictures of other reviewers here. The regular room is basically 2 beds and a desk, and not much more space besides that.
Biggest issues for us was that on Friday and Saturday night, the bass sounds from a club around the corner were clearly audible in room 110, and that went on till about 4 or 5 in the morning.
Won't be staying here again, as there are many other nice hotels around in Mannheim.

Misleading and disappointing. We felt robbed of our money.
This could be a great place with a clean room with a good fridge and enough space, if only the mattresses were decent and the airco would work. As you can see on the pictures it was 26° Celsius in the room and 27° in the bathroom and we simply could not cool it until it was the middle of the night. Operating the airco looked complicated and didn't amount to any results: :you need to have a pincode but there was no-one at reception (they mailed us that info on the day itself) and calling the telephone number for help didn't work either (I left a voicemail that remained unanswered). When it's hot in the summer, this is utterly scandalous and we were deprived of sleep. When you make people pay for a resting place, the bed and the temperature are basics that should be "in Ordnung" especially in a city where everything closes early. I wish we'd have stayed in Heidelberg nearby.

Home away from home
Guesthouse Mannheim was truly a home away from home experience with helpful staff who greet you pleasantly and maintain a friendly environment. It is located right at the city center, walking distance from the Hauptbahnhof (Mannheim central railway station) and attractions like Wasserturm, Rosengarten and also the tram station. The rooms are maintained clean and built tastefully. An extremely small kitchenette takes up a small section of the room but has equipments like a mixer, dishes, cutlery, chopping boards and all the essentials you need to make a meal for one. The fridge also is a good addition if you would like to store some stuff.
The bathrooms are clean and pretty new looking.
The complimentary breakfast was a bit of a let-down with the same breakfast of sandwiches and fruit juices served everyday.
Its a great place to stay, but a bit of noise from the main street may make it uncomfortable initially. The blackout curtains help cut some of the noise and light from entering the room to make it a real cozy place to stay.

Good stay
good location, main market is nearby ,
tram station is 100 mt far and main train station is 1 km far.
Friendly staff .
Room service is good . They offer decent breakfast .
