Easy and good

The youth hostel on the Kuhberg has a beautiful view from the dining room, simple rooms, friendly staff and a good breakfast. Absolutely great and totally delicious: honey from the hostel's own bees! The tram takes you to the city center quickly and easily.

bad location and expensive

We went there because we were looking for something cheap (and hostels are supposed to be cheap). After a few hours trying to find it and after going up a high hill we discovered that it was 28€ per person in a shared room and 33 in a double. We were surprised that a hostel (with hostel service), that is really far from the city center and in the top of a hill was so expensive. A bit upset, we decided not staying there, and we found a hotel in front of the cathedral 6€ cheaper. I definitely dont recommend it unless they reduce the price.

Average German hostel

Has good standards typical to German HI hostels. Quite big hostel, mostly German guests. Couple of foreign guests were quite noisy and irritating, but normally I guess this is very quiet place. Not the best hostel for meeting other travellers. But the most negative thing is fairly remote location. Nevertheless, there is at least one rather big supermarket located closely. Bus connections here should be pretty good, although I didn't use them.

Schlechte Unterkunft und das bei so einem hohen Preis !!

Waren für 1 Nacht hier ,weil wir am nächsten Tag einen wichtigen Termin in Ulm hatten.
Die Zimmer dem Standart ausgestattet,aber ohne WC und Dusche im Zimmer und das mit einem Kind !!!!!
Spiennweben unter dem Bett!!!!
Service teilweise ok, !!!!
Baustelle auf den WC weil Wasserrohrbruch und deshalb auch einen Duschcontainer vor dem Haus,.
Haben nach langen Reden endlich im Haus eine Dusche mit WC bekommen, mussten aber im Haus spazieren laufen.
Frühstück keine Ahnung waren nicht beim Essen hier.
Ausschilderung von der Straßenbahn bis zur Jugendherberge ohne Navi nicht möglich!!! Es fehlen einfach die Schilder an der Straße!!!!
Also ich habe schon andere Jugendherberge erlebt und bis jetzt war ich immer sehr zufrieden ,aber diese hier würde ich echt nicht weiterempfehlen ,nicht mal meinem besten Freund !!!!

Das Haus mit dem Bauhaus-Charme der 60er Jahre liegt sehr ruhig und mitten im Grünen. Wer die einfache, offene und unkomplizierte Atmosphäre der Jugendherbergen mag, wird sich in der Geschwister-Scholl-Jugendherberge wohl fühlen.

From 1 June each year, you can buy the DJH membership for half price when you become a member for the first time. The HI card (International guests) costs 18 EUR per person, valid for one year.
