With small reserves, which can be easily remedied, we recommend the Creta Suites resort
A rather delicate issue is the fee that is added to the rental cost, in the amount of 300 E, which includes 70 E mandatory usage fee (mandatory Climate Crisis Resilience Fee), 230 E energy cost, which includes 100 E in coupons for breakfast, snacks or drinks (basically the cost of energy consumption being 130 E), I believe that the energy cost (130 E) should be included in the rental price, the environmental tax (70 E) and the coupons (100 E) can be paid separately. I understand the resort's policy, which prefers that clients have breakfast or drinks at the resort. In fact, we used the 100 E fee to serve two breakfasts and pay for drinks at the Greek Barbecue organized by the resort.
I must specify that the breakfast was rich and tasty, and the Greek Barbecue was more than abundant and extremely tasty.
We were delighted to have a sea view, although in emails received from the resort management, this was subject to additional costs, given that few rooms had a sea view.
I must mention the extreme kindness of the staff, especially the receptionist Georgia, but also the girl who took care of cleaning the apartment.
In conclusion, with small reserves, which can be easily remedied, we recommend the Creta Suites resort. Thank you for everything!

Lovely place but expensive; great breakfast
We were encouraged to book something before we went to increase our chances of a sea-view; I don't know if it made a difference as the resort wasn't very full (early season) but we booked 4 breakfasts. They were worth it - lots of stuff kept coming out and we didn't need to eat (apart from a snack or two) until the evening (and then not much - sandwiches!)
Room was good, but interesting: we had a 1 bedroom apartment, but in addition to the double bed in the bedroom there were two single beds in the living room.
I'd read that there was no kettle and a charge for a toaster - but they were present.
I'd also read that sink plugs wee not supplied and that was true; fortunately we had taken a universal one.
You're not on the beach and you'll need a car (most places are OK without 4WD) but it's a good a location to explore eastern Crete - there are a lot of historical (Minoan) sites to explore and gorges (some can be a challenge) and other walks to enjoy.
The Mylonas waterfall is close by (45min- 1 hr walk from the main road) and worth visiting (I suppose depending on the season).
You're about 2hrs from Heraklion/Knossos - we fitted this in on our last day with a 4:45pm flight out.
