Hyatt Regency is a win!

This hotel can easily be a 5 star review. Regardless the building has been around for very long time. There is clearly wear and tear but that is to be expected. I’m dropping a star only because there are choices they intentionally made which I believe takes away from the experience. Firstly they do not have umbrellas and lounge chairs on the beach. This being an expected offering at most hotels and they did not deliver. Meanwhile the 2 other hotels directly next to them has them. The pool closes at 7pm, yes there’s plenty of hotels that do this but you can put swim at your own risk after 7pm. Nope you get chased out of the pool. IMO that’s fine rules are rules. Even as a Regency Hyatt member I’m very surprised the room did not offer bottle water. These are the little touches which separates a very good hotel to excellent hotel. Now as for service the staff is top notch from smiles everywhere during breakfast Bian is an excellent staff member. It was a well balance of American and Asian style offerings any guest would be satisfied with. I honestly can say he made us felt so welcome. Also Micks during dinner in Cafe restaurant was such a breath of fresh air. She so much fun and had such a nice personality we love talking to her. I would highly recommend the Hyatt Regency to anyone without hesitation. But if they wanted the pinnacle of service become a Hyatt member and enjoy the complimentary lounge on the 12th floor. They offer drinks and snacks most of the day and then at 5pm they serve a very nice spread you can totally avoid buying dinner else where.

The Best Hotel Experience in Guam!

I love this hotel! It has the best breakfast buffet I have ever experienced in any Hyatt hotel, which also includes delicious cappuccino!

Not a Hyatt experience

It was a rough start. We paid for a Suite to ensure high level quality and service. However the room had issues. Large safe could not be opened. A small replacement was brought ( which was not bolted down..,so what’s the purpose??) also they simply moved our suitcases ( when we were out) and clothes to set the small safe. Ridiculous. Next a light in the ceiling would not turn off so maintenance had taped paper over the light !!! Which didn’t block the light well so sleep was not good on day 1. Finally I was able to fix the switch on day 2 .. again ridiculous. 1 balcony door had a broken lock. Refrigerator wasn’t cold and very small. No microwave and an espresso machine that was terrible. Just supply a hot water pot . Again I paid for a higher level Suite hoping for higher quality.

What a gem!!

What a gem!! I discovered this hotel while coming to a conference here. It has the best brunch/breakfast buffet I have ever experienced. It is East meets West, with Japanese delicacies, make your own udon, dumplings, omelette made to order, a variety of pastry, and amazing service. Then when you go for a swim, it has a stretch of ocean that is knee deep going out a mile. I love snorkeling there. The hotel also smells great, has plenty of areas like the wonderful lobby to relax and read. I highly recommend this gem!!

It's a shame the building's dilapidated.

The location is great, but the buildings are dilapidated. The staff is also smaller than before. The number of customers is also smaller than before, so it may be recommended for those who want to relax.
