Best experience

We were 5 people staying at Nirvana which is right on the bank of pangong lake…the camp was amazing with all the amenties you need..clean beds and blankets,good food and service and most importantly the view is amazing.

Camp Nirvana Pangong Tso - it's a fraud. DOUBLE CHECK your camps before you leave for Pangong Tso

We booked Camp Nirvana through Makemytrip. The voucher address read Spangmik , Maan Village. We kept looking for camp first in Spangmik , later in Maan Village.We checked all of Pangong Tso for 3 hours. After several enquiry we were directed to ' 3 Idiots shooting ' beach . At 8pm in the night we were glad to see a board Nirvana with an arrow to left. After driving a bit all we saw was an under construction camp site. The number of Camp Nirvana still doesnt recieve call.

Good option to stay at Pangong Lake.

The experience was surreal and was really lucky to find heavy snow fall early in the morning which is rare is late May. But was really happy and was surprising as well. The tent as such is kind of fine. Not very luxurious but all the required facilities are there. All these are temporary structures. It was quite cold in the night.
The bedding was comfortable, but really was a peaceful sleep. Could not find the right layering of clothes, where it was sufficient, yet warm. But not to take away from the tent. The hosts were very approachable. There is no network there, so better carry a print out of the booking.
So yes, you can go ahead and book this, really did not find a compelling alternative there. The place is very scenic and the the snowfall was out of the world.

Do not book

पुढच्यास ठेच मागचा शहाणा (Don'ts)
Do NOT stay at Camp Nirvana. We had booked this camp by paying an extravagant . We were 3 families but camp forced us to book 4 tents.
Despite of this, there was no hot water kettle or any protection from wind and cold. We litrally froze to death. We had been to many places with low temperature (Iceland too) but this experience was horrible.
Giving benefit of doubt, we thought that this place is at hight, low temperature, low oxygen' so this could be different and more difficult.
But people in other camps/tents were enjoying, dancing and singing so it was not just nature but inadequate arrangements in 'Camp Nirvana'.
आम्हाला नावाप्रमाणे 'निर्वाणा' स्थिती ला नेऊन ठेवण्याची व्यवस्था ह्या कॅम्प ने केली होती हे नक्की !!
We waited for sun to rise and started our journey towards Leh as soon as possible!

Review

This camp was amazing then expected. The staff was so polite and welcoming. The view from the camp was good could see the Pangong lake from outside the camp. The food was better then expected. The experience of staying in a camp in cold weather was amazing
