Relaxation and peace
We stayed at Roberto's beautiful agriturismo at the end of June.
We were welcomed by the very sweet Mrs. Marisa who, with her calmness, immediately made us feel at ease.
The place is wonderful, the breakfast is abundant with high-quality local products, and it is served in the garden with a view of Mount Amiata, providing an invaluable sense of peace.
I recommend it to anyone looking for a vacation in complete relaxation but with the warmth of the local people.
Our room, complete with a kitchen, was very cool despite the extremely hot period.
The pool is very beautiful with a view of the vineyards on the property.
There is also
the possibility to pick the garden products and consume them to one's liking.
We will definitely return.

An oasis of peace
We booked through Booking at this farm because we were looking for a place in the Val D'Orcia halfway between Montalcino and Pienza. In fact, it was a good choice. The apartment is very cozy, the bathroom brand new and very nice. Smooth sheets and silence for exceptional sleep quality. We will definitely return to stay more nights

Poetry? No, Poggio al Vento!!
The Val D’Orcia is unquestionably beautiful, unique places, villages that seem to have stopped in time BUT what the difference, what makes you return to these places is Poggio al Vento.
When you take the long dirt road that leads to the Poggio your mind begins to relax. Often when you travel there it is easy to spot a wild boar, a hare, a fox or a young roe deer, saying that even the animals feel calm and have created their natural habitat.
I am not sure whether it is because of the view from up here at 360 degrees , or the view as far as the eye can see when you have breakfast , in the background Mount Amiata, which is very dear to me. Everyday life is made up of simple gestures such as laying the towel and the costume on the wire with the wind pulling knowing that shortly after you will find it dry or the slow passage of time how to prepare dinner perhaps with sweet and juicy tomatoes of Lido that lovingly cultivates making the garden available to guests staying in this corner of authentic Paradise or both for the pool overlooking the vineyard of Sangiovese with which the company produces excellent wines, not to be missed to taste.
You can quietly prepare the table where you think best, on the terrace, if it is cooler in the beautiful porch or in the table surrounded by fragrant plants. But what really makes the difference is undoubtedly the Mascelloni family, of great generosity and sense of hospitality.
Lido is a great fan of history and I always listen to his anecdotes and stories. Marisa is a mother with a capital M , churns out delicacies all day and a tireless worker and the legendary Roberto despite always having so many things to do the jovial chat always manages to do.
And it is for all this that people always come back here to the Poggio , some for 20/30 years , perhaps first as a couple , then in the family and perhaps with the grandchildren . Because it is a place of the soul , where the heart beats fast and feels regenerating. It's always goodbye never goodbye.

Very welcome
Beautiful farmhouse with spectacular panoramic views, we stayed in an apartment complete with everything, excellent cleaning, super cozy, heated constantly, excellent breakfast savory and sweet all homemade, super friendly and helpful staff really recommended

The visit to the Poggio al Vento farm was an authentic and unforgettable experience, thanks above all to Roberto, the owner and soul of this special place. It is evident that Roberto is not only a hard worker, but also a person with a deep passion for what he does. Since our arrival, he welcomed us with a charismatic smile and engaging energy that made us feel like we were long-time friends.
Roberto accompanied us on a real journey in the production of red wine and oil, explaining each step of the process with a clarity and dedication rare to find.
His expertise is incredible, but what really impressed us was his ability to convey the beauty and fatigue of his work, making us appreciate even more every sip of wine and every drop of oil.
The quality of the products is very good: the red wine is full-bodied and harmonious, and the oil has a rich and decisive taste that testifies to the care put into every stage of production.
It was really a privilege to meet Roberto and his work, an example of authentic Italian passion!

The event includes a tour that starts from the vineyards in production, passing from the cellar, with a technical description of the wine making and aging processes up to bottling. At the end of the tour it will be possible to taste 3 wines. The same will be accompanied by bruschetta with oil of our production and a taste of local cured meats and pecorino. Approximate tour duration: 90 minutes. Cost: EUR 20 per person. A surcharge of 20 applies for arrivals after 19:30 PM. A surcharge of 40 applies for arrivals after 22:00 PM.
