Great mid-range choice in Shingu

Stayed here for 1 night in November 2023.
Pros:
1) The place is very quiet at night and bed is very comfortable. The sleep quality is great.
2) The front desk is staffed 24 hrs.
3) The location is good. It is a 10 min walk to the train station and a 20 min walk to Hayatama Taisha.
4) There is a good public laundry next to the hotel.
5) The property is very clean - lobby, rooms, bathrooms etc.
6) WIFI is free and the speed and connectivity good.
7) The tariff is reasonable.
8) The property has parking.
9) The room size was adequate.
10) There are not too many options in Shingu. This hotel is probably one of the few good ones.
Cons:
1) We could not find a lot of restaurants in this area. The hotel does have one, but vegetarian choices are very limited.
2) Front desk staff speaks very little English.

Average business hotel

It is a 5-minute walk from Shingu Station.
There is a convenience store and supermarket nearby.
There are not many hotels in Shingu, so your options are limited, but this hotel is a normal business hotel.
They changed the pillows for me, brought me blankets, and were very helpful.
However, the walls are thin, so I could hear sound from the next room at times.

Good hotel, close to station

We came here on a tour and found them organised and efficient. They held the restaurant open for our dinner (it is called the Iron Anchor). The meals were a mix of Japanese and Western inspired. Good value and quality. Breakfast was a buffet and they struggled to fit everyone in. My room was larger than many in big cities, well appointed abd very clean. The bed was firm and my sleep restful.

City Hotel

Conveniently located within Shingu city. We found the staff extremely helpful to assist with dining and tour reservations. Beds were on the hard side, rooms were pleasantly spacious and comfortable. Breakfast was a traditional Japanese style yet accommodated western needs, ie freshly ground coffee and English tea.
We would consider returning if we returned to Shingu city.
