perfect stay in cusco :)

We really enjoyed our stay at Chusay Rooftop & ended up staying here for 4 nights to finish our Cusco trip. It was close to the plaza de armes and about a 5 minute walk from San Pedro Market. It was secure and we felt safe at all times. The staff were really friendly and helpful. The rooms were nice and had everything you needed, the bed was comfy! The bathrooms were always clean and the shower was warm and powerful. The kitchen was well equipped and clean, it didn't come with breakfast however hot drinks were free and there was good tea options. It was sooo good for the price and we highly recomend for anyone staying in Cusco :)

Really exceptional. I didn't want to come away anymore

I started with the idea of doing one night, I did six. The rooms are warm, the shower hot, the kitchen and the premises super clean, the fireplace lit and the view of the terrace to take your breath away. The staff then... Cute, helpful, smiling, outstanding. Nico, Rachid, Kate, Elvire... You made me feel at home. I cried when I left. Thanks for everything

Appalling. Owners without shame

The best hostel of our life. The owners are terrible and shameless, with no empathy with their guests or employees. We stayed 3 nights not immediately at the hostel. The first night we arrived and there was no water. We also couldn't go to the bathroom or brush our teeth. The second day there was no hot water. We talked about it at the concierge and they told us that there was a problem in the pipeline and there were actually workers working in the passage. We had the bad idea to return after a few days and again there was no water due to a general outage in the sector. The neighboring lodges solved it with ponds but not here in Chusay. The owners simply did not care to leave the numerous guests with bathrooms full of poop, urine and bad smell and without the possibility of cooking or washing. And the worst thing is that the owners, Filippo and Marbhy, did not even fail to offer a solution. Not even an apology. Marbhy turned off the phone and Filippo told us that we are liars, since according to him it was the first day without water, and we were free to go. These people even offer tours and work as an agency. I'm sorry for the photos (not the owners) but it was disgusting to stay there. Never more

Very good value for money, very clean! Overall highly recommended!

We spent several days here. It was very clean, the staff very nice and the rooms very reasonably priced! Overall, highly recommended!
The location is good, there is a good view at the top of the hostel. Tours can be booked through the hostel at a good price!

I loved

Excellent place, with good vibes, good attention. In its common areas you can socialize and meet travelers from all over the world.
The building is always clean, although some guests leave their dirty dishes and dirty things lying around, the very friendly girls from Housekeeping are always there to tidy up and clean. The receptionists are friendly and help you and recommend new places to walk around the city. They know very good places to eat. The local market is very close to the accommodation so if you want to cook you can buy fresh vegetables at a good price. The local market is charming, you find many local people shopping and vendors from the surrounding towns selling their fresh produce.
