I was here in 2013 and 2014, each time with 16 nedical students from Florida International University and returned now. WONDERFU

It was superb. The family owners treat you like you are family. It is a wonderful experience. They cater to all your needs. Meals are fresh and well prepared. The location is directly on the beach and Pacific. Trujillo is only 10 minutes drive

100% bulla

It used to be a nice, beautiful hostal. Now, unfortunately, it is just a noisy, annoying " pit ". The horrible disco on the roof is annoying. If you like disco, you can go there for an hour, but otherwise it's not worth it. Absolutely not!

Was good

The Lobby is great, pretty well decotared and nice view. It is located just in front of the ocean which is also very nice. The rooms are just OK, could be better considering the price. People and service (attention) was fine.

Great experience

A group of 16 of us stayed here for 2 weeks while in Huanchaco. The woman who runs the hostel, Izolda is excellent. She makes everyone feel at home. She will help with anything you need; doing laundry, ordering pizza and arranging cab rides etc.
The rooms are fairly basic, but they are very well maintained. The lunch they serve is delicious.The wifi is decent, given that you don't have a group of 16 people trying to use it all at once :) I can't say enough good things about our experience there. If you find yourself in Huanchaco for a couple nights or a couple weeks, definitely give El Ancla a try!

Nothing special, comfortable accommodation

We stayed here for 2 nights, while there was nothing wrong, there was also nothing particularly special either. Breakfast was the standard bread and butter, although you can pay extra for eggs. Rooms are comfortable with TVs, and location is good (only 10 minutes to the restaurants and cash points).
